The thin sword pierced the forehead with a crack, and the last spirit statue lost its strength and fell to the ground with a clatter. The female mercenary leader, with long fiery red hair, held the sword with one hand, panting and looking around. Her emerald green eyes reflected the ground covered with bones and mercenary corpses. The battle had ended, and although it came at a great cost, they had managed to repel the attackers.
Yuta exhaled, sheathed the thin sword into the sword scabbard wrapped in black leather.
"Squad Leader!" a shout called from behind. She turned around and saw a young man running quickly from the crowd.
The female mercenary watched the young man run to her, but interrupted him by raising her hand: "No need to talk, leave people to take care of the wounded brothers. Others follow me, we must move forward, we've wasted enough time, we must control the west gate before the Undead Army arrives!"
"Wait!" The young man, breathless, called after her.
