After they collapsed inward to the ground, they found themselves within a strange building, facing two massive doors that looked as though they had been carved entirely from colossal boulders, standing firm at its base..
At first, nothing could be seen clearly because of the thick dust surrounding them, the same dust they had fallen with. The only thing visible through the haze was the massive door and a few scattered parts of the building.
"What just happened?" Hajime muttered, his eyes darting from side to side before finally dropping to the floor.
Heh?... Where…? Where am I…? How did I end up here…? And where— His thoughts stumbled to a halt the moment he realized he was alone. Not a trace of life, not even the faintest presence, lingered around him.
He turned, looking left and right, his gaze lingering for a few seconds on each side. Then he shifted to the right, and doing the same thing. But nothing changed—both sides were the same.
Am I alone here...?
