JUDE
"Jude…" miko breathes before he kisses my forehead and then sits up.
I start feeling the loss of his body warmth, the contact that was grounding me. Immediately, I start curling on my side, but Miko takes my hand and makes me sit up.
He hugs me.
At first, I am tense, before I wrap my arms around him, returning his hug, and I start crying again. You never know how much you need a hug until you get one, and it all comes crashing down. Every single thing you have tried, overcoming all on your own.
"I don't know why I keep crying," I hiccup, and Miko only tightens his arms around me, palm on the back of my head. "I wanted to keep the sad shit away and let us enjoy ourselves. I am sorry, I am sorry miko."
I shut my eyes, burying my face in the crook of his neck.
"Why would you do that, baby, mmh?" his voice is so soft, gentle as he kisses my temple before holding me against him once again.
