It's been two hours since we returned to the Vampire Realm, and I've been sitting here ever since—locked away in this room, glued to the same spot, staring at nothing and everything all at once. The silence was thick, but I wasn't alone.
He was here too.

I couldn't even remember the last time I laid eyes on him. And yet, here we were—together again, in the most unexpected of circumstances.
