"Are you out of your mind?!"
Inside the Ravager ship, Yondu roared at Rocket Raccoon.
"Do you know how many jumps this takes?! Over seven hundred! You idiotic rabbit!"
"Shut up!" Rocket snapped back, his face twisted in pain. "If we're not fast enough, who knows if that idiot Peter is even still alive?!"
He didn't slow down.
Peter was his friend.
After Yondu had exposed what Rocket really felt, Rocket had accepted it. That unbelievably foolish guy was his friend. And now that his friend might be facing death, Rocket wasn't backing down.
No matter what.
Space jumping wasn't magic.
It wasn't the Space Stone.
Ordinary people could barely endure three or four jumps before hitting their limit. Seven hundred in one go was madness.
Absolute madness.
Yet no one complained.
Yondu cursed Rocket the entire way, but he never took control of the ship. Jump after jump, his face twisted, his vision blurred, and more than once he felt like he was about to black out.
Still, he endured.
Because he wanted to save his son.
Even if that kid wasn't his biological son.
After an unknown amount of time, the ship finally passed through the last node and dropped out of hyperspace near a planet's outer perimeter.
Yondu slumped back, gasping.
"I'm... still alive," he muttered.
Rocket wasn't much better. Long-distance continuous jumping had nearly killed both of them.
"Finally here," Yondu exhaled. "Lucky me."
"Whose luck is bad?" Rocket muttered, then guided the ship toward Ego's planet.
Halfway there, he froze.
Something was wrong.
Yondu noticed it too.
From a distance, the moon-sized planet looked like it was coming apart.
Landslides.
Tsunamis.
Shockwaves of power rolling outward, visible even across space.
They didn't dare get any closer.
Both of them went silent.
What the hell was happening down there?
Did that idiot Peter actually discover his father's intentions and start fighting back?
No.
That didn't make sense.
Peter didn't have this kind of power.
Both of them felt a chill.
They didn't know whether to go in.
Logically, they should risk it for Peter. But staring at the mushroom clouds blooming again and again across the planet's surface, neither of them moved.
They exchanged a look.
After a long pause, Yondu spoke.
"This ship still has a rescue pod..."
"He's your son," Rocket said hoarsely, as another explosion lit up the planet.
"Not biological," Yondu sighed.
"So... we wait?" Rocket asked quietly.
This time, Yondu didn't answer.
They both stared at the distant planet, watching the constant fireworks bloom and fade.
They were impulsive, but not stupid.
All they could do now was hope Peter was still alive.
"...The explosions are getting smaller," Rocket said after a while.
Yondu hesitated. "Should we go down and take a look?"
Even as he spoke, he was already adjusting the ship's trajectory.
Noah was having an extremely satisfying fight.
This was the first time he had used his domain outside the system space and enjoyed it this much.
Because his opponent was truly powerful.
Ego had experience, energy, and depth. And because of physical limitations, he couldn't fully unleash his strength.
That made it even better.
Within his domain, Noah finally displayed his power without restraint.
Mountains collapsing.
Oceans raging.
These were just side effects.
Spatial fragmentation.
Temporal stagnation.
These were distortions caused by their clash.
Ego looked ancient, but his movements were anything but slow. Violent blue energy erupted endlessly, striking at Noah from every direction.
But within Noah's domain, those attacks were weakened.
Redirected.
Warped.
And when they couldn't be avoided, Noah simply slowed or stopped them with time.
The collision of two Tier 8 peak existences was catastrophic.
Spatial裂缝 tore open repeatedly.
Yet despite all of this, Noah noticed something strange.
Ego's planet wasn't actually damaged.
Its appearance changed violently, but its internal energy flow barely shifted.
The ancient runic stone pillars embedded throughout the planet were absorbing everything.
They were the key.
Neither Ego's attacks nor Noah's bombardment could shatter even a grain of sand.
"He's protecting his core," Noah frowned.
It made sense.
This planet was Ego.
It was his true body.
Fighting on it looked like an advantage, but all the damage was ultimately borne by Ego himself.
Noah also knew it was time to stop.
Even with his domain, he could only sustain this level of combat for five to ten minutes.
That was his limit.
He was enjoying it.
Learning from it.
But if he kept dragging it out, the one in trouble would be him.
"Looks like I'll end this directly," Noah sighed, sounding regretful. "What a shame. Such a good opponent."
The magical storm intensified.
With the support of his domain, Noah unleashed overwhelming magic across the entire planet.
Ego had no choice but to divert power to defend.
And in that instant-
Silver light flashed across Noah's body.
The power of the Space Stone surged.
Noah locked onto Ego's core.
His magic erupted completely, transforming from a calm river into a violent flood. Supported by the domain, his casting didn't pause for even a moment, forcing Ego into a brief but critical opening.
"Now."
The ring on Noah's hand flared.
Space shattered.
Noah stepped through fractured reality and reappeared inside a place that resembled a gigantic brain.
"No!"
Ego finally panicked.
He admitted Noah was strong. Stronger than Ego himself had been billions of years ago.
But now, Ego was Tier 10.
If not for age and decay, he wouldn't be limited like this.
Noah's domain was a divine creation-but its consumption was terrifying. From Ego's perspective, it couldn't last long.
And now he understood.
This damn kid knew his weakness.
Space magic.
Actual space magic.
Fear set in.
Ego rushed desperately, but Noah activated the Time Stone.
One second.
That was all it took.
Ego froze.
Noah reached out and extracted the brain.
Everything stopped.
The winds calmed.
The seas settled.
The mountains returned to their original forms.
Noah let out a long breath.
That fight had been immensely satisfying.
If he had the time, he would've continued.
But safety came first.
Looking at the massive brain and the frozen Ego, Noah smiled in satisfaction.
With a wave of his hand, shattered space and distorted time snapped back into place.
Hermione stepped out of the Mirror Dimension.
"My God," she said, rushing forward and hugging him tightly. "Are you okay?"
She had seen everything.
"No worries," Noah replied calmly, holding her. He glanced at the sealed brain, then snapped his fingers.
Peter and Gamora appeared nearby.
Noah still needed to explain things to Peter.
He had promised.
And Noah kept his promises.
But before he could speak-
A spaceship suddenly tore through the sky and crashed straight toward them.
