Chapter 153 - The Revolutionaries headquaters

In a forest, Kaiser, Lyla, Tenko, Hella, Sentry, and Adreil were sitting around a bonfire, cooking dinner. "We're not enough," Lyla said. "We need more people in our group."

"Then who should we approach?" Adreil asked.

"I know who," Kaiser said. "The Revolutionaries."

"But they're in Betal Town," Lyla said. "We would have to take a big detour."

"That may be so, but it's better to be completely prepared before going," Kaiser insisted.

"Fine then," Adreil agreed.

In the principality, Piers entered the Black Devil Mansion. The space inside was completely different from the outside. From the outside, it looked like a large mansion, but inside, it was as big as a city, as if he had entered another dimension. The hall was massive, with a round table in the center where people were talking with the receptionists. Many people were walking around, yet the hall was not crowded. There were statues of devils and gargoyles at some distances too.

"The space is bigger here because they are using a Space Devil," Zen explained.

"Space devils?" Piers asked.

"They are devils who can manipulate space," Zen said. "With the Space Devil, they've turned a small mansion into another dimension. However, if the Space Devil were to die or be killed, this whole mansion would shrink to its normal size, and everyone would die."

"Really? So do they keep the Space Devil hidden?" Piers asked.

"It is said that they used the Space Devil's power and sealed it within two spaces so that no one could reach it," Zen replied. "Okay, enough of that. Let's complete your registration."

Piers agreed. They went to the receptionist, and Zen said, "I am recommending this candidate to become a devil holder. Register his name. His name is Piers." The man registered Piers's name and gave him a token. Piers took it, and Zen led him towards a wall.

"What is this wall?" Piers asked.

"You will see." Zen walked directly into the wall and passed through it. Piers was stunned. He approached the wall and slowly passed through it. Zen was waiting on the other side. "This wall is hidden by a devil too," Zen said. "Anyone with this token can pass through it, so don't lose it, okay?"

"Sure," Piers said. They walked through the halls until Zen glanced at a room before walking past it. Soon, they reached the dorms. "You will stay in the guest dorm. Make sure to get enough rest because tomorrow is going to be crucial," Zen said.

"Yes, Master Zen," Piers said. He went into the dorm, closed the door, and fell asleep on the bed.

In his dream, he was standing in a place where the sky was purple and the ground was dark violet. "What is this place?" Piers wondered. He walked through the strange landscape and came to a large cage with circular bars and small disks attached to it. "What is this place?" he thought, stunned.

From the darkness of the cage, an entity made of purple liquid emerged. Piers was horrified. The entity was terrifying. "Who... who are you?" Piers stammered.

The entity, Chaos, slammed against the cage. "You might have forgotten me, Rei," it roared, "but I haven't! Once I get out, I will destroy every inch of your body. I will eat your soul, consume your mind, become you, and kill everyone you love!"

The word "Rei" sent shivers through Piers. He woke up, huffing and scared. "What was that? What am I? No, no, no. It must have been a bad dream. What did he say? 'Rei'?" Immediately, a deep sound calling "Rei" echoed in his mind, and he clutched his head. "I am not Rei! I am not Rei! I am not Rei!" he repeated. After some time, he said to himself, "No, I need some sleep. I need to be in full condition. Yeah, I should sleep." He fell asleep, not wanting to think about it anymore. This time, he didn't have the dream.

The next day, Zen knocked on Piers's door. Piers opened it, and Zen said, "Today is the day of the ritual. Come with me."

"What ritual are you talking about?" Piers asked.

"The ritual to give you a devil," Zen replied.

"A devil?"

"Yes, a devil."

On the other side, Kaiser and his team reached Betal Town and began searching for the Revolutionaries' headquarters. "We won't find it if we search like this," Sentry said.

"Yes, I agree," Hella added.

"What should we do then?" Adreil asked.

"There must be some way," Lyla said.

"Maybe Tenko knows," Kaiser suggested. Tenko shook his head.

A boy heard them talking and came over. "Are you looking for the Revolutionaries? What is your purpose?"

Kaiser was about to answer, but Tenko stopped him, barking in a way only Kaiser could understand. Kaiser then said, "Sorry about this beast. He's not mine, by the way. We just want to join the Revolutionaries."

"Follow me," the boy said. He introduced himself as Fin, a member of the Revolutionaries. "It's a really good organization, but the training is a bit intense." They came to an empty space. "Where is the organization?" Hella asked.

"It's here," Fin said, opening an invisible door to reveal a building. He went in, and everyone was surprised except for Tenko. Rei had created this invisible barrier. They all went inside. The building was grand, decorated with several ornaments. But as they stepped inside, everyone except Tenko stumbled. Fin explained, "Look out. There's a magic circle that makes everyone who comes here feel heavy. It's used to train the warriors."

"This is certainly a better way to train one's body," Sentry said.

"Well, it's flashy. I like it here," Adreil said.

They then saw a group of six pictures on the wall. In the center were pictures of Emily and Ben, and beside them were Arizona, Alya, Luc, and Levi. The group was intrigued.

"These are the pictures of the founding members," Fin said.

"Founding members?" Kaiser asked.

"Yes, these people created the Revolutionaries."

"We have a message for them," Lyla said. "Where can we meet them?"

"I can take you to them if you have a message," Fin said. He began to lead the group.

"Why do you have so much trust in us?" Hella asked.

"I am a magic sensor," Fin replied. "I can sense the aura of magic from other people." He nodded toward Tenko. "Your beast seems to have been close to someone who possessed the Revolutionaries' token. That's why I brought you here."

"I see now. It makes sense," Hella said.

"Another thing that makes me sure you're not hostile is that your group doesn't possess any magic, so you can't be from the Mystic Church," Fin added.

"Yeah, that's a main factor," Sentry said. "Mystic Church people would never let anyone without magic into their church."

They came to a door, and Fin knocked. "Come in," a voice said. Fin opened the door, and they saw Ben, Emily, and Luc inside.
