Fu Ling woke up naturally and stretched wildly. He cleaned his face then went out. George was standing at the door.
He bowed slightly
"Lord Cain awaits your presence for lunch."
Lunch? Fu Ling instinctively looked out the window but this place was always so dreary one could never tell the time.
"Lead the way."
Fu Ling came to a large hall with a dinning room in the middle which could easily fit thirty. The table was filled with dishes from one end to another.
Fu Ling sat down then looked at Cain
"Are you expecting company?"
Cain raised his eyebrows
"Good morning to you too."
Fu Ling pursed his lips. So..no. He picked a plate and took several dishes while Cain just watched him.
Fu Ling chewed slowly, eyes glancing up at Cain ever so often and catching his gaze every time.
"You slept well?" Cain asked casually.
Fu Ling paused mid-bite, then smiled. "I did. Very well, actually. Your place it's more comfortable than I've been subject to recently."
