Rayleigh opened his eyes and saw a new null entity standing where Bram was. The null entity looked around and at its new body. Rayleigh noticed that it looked like it was already refined, maybe because it was Bram. The null entity was wearing a black half-circle cape, a white button shirt with the top two buttons undone, and black tuxedo pants. He had streaks of white scattered throughout his hair, which was combed back.
"I seem to have been made properly, guess I won't need to be refined just yet."
Rayleigh was taken aback; he didn't know that null entities could talk.
"You can talk!"
"It appears so."
Rayleigh turned to Uldess.
"Can all null entities talk?"
"Yes, but some decide that there is no need for them to talk."
Veyygra stepped forward; he seemed to have a glimpse of hope in his eyes.
"Do you remember who you are, master?"
Vlad turned to face him and bowed his head.
"I am sorry, but though I do have Bram's memories, I can only view them as if I am looking at a video."
Veygra looked disappointed.
"I see."
Uldess was about to walk over and put his hand on his shoulder.
"It's fine, it is going to take some time, but I will get over it. I am just happy that he is finally happy again."
Rayleigh wanted to say something, but then he felt Agent coming back.
"Agent found something."
At that moment, Agent appeared at Rayleigh's side. Vald stepped forward and put his hand out to Agent. Agent looked at it and then grabbed it with his own.
"Sir, if I may, I can tell you what Agent has found."
"How do you know what he found?"
"That handshake was not just a formality. We null entities can form telepathic links with each other."
Rayleigh was surprised to hear that Agent and Vlad could communicate.
"Agent has found the entrance to Migdranniun's domain."
Rayleigh was surprised at how calm he was when he heard this. He thought that he would be nervous and excited to get his mom back, but he had a feeling that he had a chance of actually beating Migdranniun.
"Where is it?"
"The entrance is located in a fashion studio called 'sin of fashion'."
Udless, who had been staring at Vlad, spoke up.
"We should think about our next steps carefully. Once we do find the entrance, then we should first see what the terrain is like, and then plan from that point onwards."
"That would be a good plan, but there is one thing you are forgetting."
"And what would that be, Vlad?"
"Ever since Goren was defeated, the void between the realms has become so thin that they have all collided and have merged."
Uldess looked shocked at hearing this.
"How has it gotten so bad? It's only been 13 years."
Rayleigh looked at Alex, who just shrugged. It seems that they both barely know anything. Vlad, sensing that Rayleigh was confused, turned to face him.
"I am guessing that you and Alex are confused. Allow me to explain: your father was the god of the void, but it was recently that he was banished to the void, almost indefinitely. The void itself is still a mystery to all of us, including your father, but all we know is that it is like a wall keeping the different realms separated. You could, in theory, pass through the void, but you would need the blessing of your father; if not, you might have been captured by something, we do not know what, though. Your father also ensured that the void's integrity was stable; otherwise, it would start to break down, and the realms would start to fuse, as it is doing now."
Rayleigh didn't realize that the void was that important.
"What will happen if all the realms fuse completely?"
"That won't happen. The void can not be destroyed. You can imagine it as a cushion between the realms; no matter how weak the void becomes, there will be a small line of cushioning preventing the realms from colliding."
"So, how bad is it? Migdranniuns' domain, how much has it changed?"
"You see, Uldess, the fact that Migdranniun is still imprisoned, his domain has begun to revert to how it was before."
"That's incredible! Why did you say that this is a bad thing?"
"Because it means that if we were to go through that portal, then we would land straight in the middle of Migdranniuns' castle, with all of his generals."
"I have a question?"
"What is it, Master?"
"Is Mr. Brock one of his generals?"
"Orgriral! Please, his a suck up to all the demon lords; he doesn't belong to any of them."
Uldess looked a bit irritated.
"Look, I have an idea. Since the realms have begun to fuse, that would mean that the day and night cycle has become the same as our realm, meaning all we need to do is sneak into that fashion studio at night, and then we could just sneak out of Migdranniun's domain and try to find some possible allies."
Vlad looked pleased with that plan.
"Ok, so Agent and I will go see how secure the studio is and then report back to say if it would be wise to break in."
As Uldess led the way out of the shop, Rayleigh turned around to speak to Veygra.
"Veygra, I am sorry about killing Bram. I knew how much he meant to you."
"It's fine, Rayleigh, and you didn't kill him. You freed him, and I am grateful that you did. Now go rest up, and make sure to kill Migdranniun."
