Chapter 33 - New Programming Language

The tattoo gave him far more abilities than he had anticipated, affecting him in ways he never expected.

First, intellectually upthe best description would be to say that he was a perfect blend between a computer and a human. Like a computer running multiple programs simultaneously, he could hold more than ten different thought processes at once without any harm or confusion.

He never seemed to forget as a normal human would, nor did he have perfect recall where he never forgot anything. He *did* remember, but in a different way.

It was as though his mind cataloged everything he saw, smelled, felt, tasted, etc., and when deemed inconsequential, it buried the information deep within. But the moment that information became relevant, it resurfaced instantly.

This was his guess, at least, since he didn't know how else to describe it, or how it exactly worked.

Beyond that, his senses were absurdly heightened. He was also highly energy-efficient; a single meal was more than enough for an entire day. Of course, he could still eat lunch and dinner, but those were for enjoyment rather than sustenance.

He also noticed enhanced physical prowess, though he hadn't yet measured his exact limits.

All this meant his learning speed; whether for knowledge-based skills, physical skills, or anything else was near-instant. A prime example was his current expert-level understanding in most scientific fields.

Even now, Leon could be seen typing away on his laptop, which had seen significant wear and tear over the past few weeks.

During his "learning phase," he had discovered another effect of his power: he didn't learn like a normal person. For instance, when he decided to learn programming, he turned to the most recommended resources in the community he had created.

But when he actually sat down to study, all he needed was one book. As he looked at coding examples, he began recognizing patterns in the language. From there, he deduced how, and even why the language worked, quickly identifying its strengths and weaknesses.

Now, he was creating a compiler to bring to life a programming language rapidly forming in his mind. This had been his focus for the past few days and had also connected him with major software companies.

It was an open-source project that had drawn significant attention, even making the news several times. If completed, Leon hoped to use it to develop a powerful game engine.

For now, it was just a passion project. As for the comics, he hadn't yet found a suitable publisher, though he could start his own. Considering this world's rapid adoption of smartphones, he could leverage that.

If successful, he could develop an operating system, strike deals with manufacturers for pre-installation, and flood app stores with his own software.

Alternatively, he might create a company that handled everything; manufacturing smartphones, laptops, and dominating the entertainment industry as planned.

It was an intriguing thought, but he had to be realistic. For now, his priority was finishing the programming language, which he estimated would take three more days under optimal conditions.

The rest of the day passed quietly as Leon cycled through fields; programming, physics, biotechnology, and more. Needless to say, he was extremely proud of how far he'd come in just under a month.
