*Rowan's POV*
I quickly ran after her as I call her name a couple of times, I don't care if she has to do something important or not but the fox ain't gonna leave me, not after everything "Hariko! please wait!" luckily for me she didn't disappeared the moment she was out of my vision, but she ignored my calls as she walks faster "Oh for the love of God.." I reached to grab her shoulder but she sidesteps, speeding up her walking "Hariko!" I look at her as she takes the elevator, soon enough she vanishes from my vision and I couldn't help but grab my hair in frustration.
"Have I done something wrong Hariko?!" but my voice reaches to no one. I was thinking about every single possible explanation as of why she left, I don't know... is it something about me? or something I have done.. but one thing is certain.. she's gone, ain't gonna see her ever again "I guess everything has an end.." I run a hand through my hair and made my way back to the room, there's no point making Hariko change her mind because she won't do it.. "I never realized how much I grew attached to her" I collapse on the bed as I curse under my breath "What's her business anyway?"
*Time skip*
Now that I think about our trip there aren't so many days left, if I'm not wrong I think we have two days left which isn't really much time left "Now what the hell am I supposed to do? return to my depressed life? Hariko gave some sort of excitement to keep on my toes but now she's gone... the world's color and life is slowly fading away" I'll never fluff that tail of hers ever again.. I'll never gonna eat her delicious meals.. but as I was having a silent crisis in my head suddenly the door burst open revealing Larisa "Wake up sleepyhead!" she walks up to me and grabs my shoulders "Are you spacing out again Rowan?" "What do you want?" "Well.. we kinda have to go"
I look at her as I sigh "Why? there's still time to enjoy and you want us to go?" "Joseph's family has an emergency and he needs to go home right now" "Well.. can't he just go home?" "Forgot about his driving experience?" "Like this day couldn't get any worse" I stand up as I step outside the room, why does Joseph's family has an issue now? it's not my business but it seems odd..."Don't you think you're forgetting something Rowan?" "If you talk about Hariko she's gone" I could see her perplexed expression but before she could ask me anything I walked down the stairs. Upon leaving the building I already saw Joseph in his car... so with a sigh I got into the driver's seat and said nothing.
*Time skip*
The trip back home was very silent, I couldn't even hear them breathing and I wonder why.. is it because I shouted at Larisa? is it because Joseph's family is having an issue? I don't know but I will not even break the silence, all I can think of is Hariko's last words for me and I'll never understand why she left in the first place, what does she have to do? is she trying to do illegal stuff? no.. Hariko's way too sweet and innocent to do that.. she can't even hurt a fly, but... still... why does she have to leave? forever to top it off...
"Can't you drive any slower Rowan? in case you forgot this is kind of an emergency" Joseph finally broke the silence "If you didn't knew Joseph we have to drive three hours ahead of ourselves" "I don't care how long it is! just drive faster for the love of God" I couldn't help but get annoyed further, why is he so... sassy now? "If you want to go faster then why don't you drive? you're gonna be the one having problems with the cops not me" I heard him curse me under his breath but I decided to ignore it, we had to cancel the remaining our trip because of this... I can't just drive faster without getting in trouble.
*Hariko's POV*
Maybe I was too harsh... selfish.. leaving Rowan only to reach my goal? maybe someday we will meet once again.. but once I enter that realm I can't get out, or at least that's what they say "I don't think that was very smart of me, but I can't dwell on it" walking in a forest alone is quite creepy not gonna lie, something may attack me out of nowhere but hey it's not like I cannot protect myself... hopefully this is where I have to be, I can't reach that weird lady again and I did try to talk to myself in my mind. I'm really starting to question my sanity and if that woman was even real.. and if she was, what if she's doing all of this for a laugh?
I've been walking through this forest for forever my ears perk up "Shrine... shrine". I look around, the sound feels like it's coming from everywhere at the same time "Wait a minute.. how the hell am I supposed to find a tiny little piece of crap so called shrine in a huge forest...?" I can't give up though, no matter how long it takes I must find it.. somehow, I've already went through the problem back at the hotel... "I'm just gonna rest for a while.. I feel sleepy" I rest on the ground looking around "The forest sure is beautiful.. yet creepy.." as soon as I reach that shrine or whatever... what's going to even happen? assuming I have to find a shrine...
As I was dozing off I suddenly felt a sharp pain going through my brain causing me to stand up and grab my head, the pain was so severe that I couldn't even see anymore, my vision whitening slighlty "Ngh... w-what the hell is happening..!" an odd sound fills my head, making me jump instinctively "Ah... there you are" a voice echoed trough my head as the pain stopped, my vision went back to normal and I look around, the voice... from before..? "I'm not around you or anywhere close to you, I'm in the realm we talked of" "..How do you know..?" "That's not important right now is it? what is important is your arrival to this realm.. so let me guide you, young one".
