Chapter 35 - "Tsuna-Nee was about to treat my injury,"

"Orochimaru, is this what you should say after meeting your friend after a long time?"

Tsunade said with an annoyed look on her face. Even though she wanted to accept his words and say, that Yeah, these were her preferences, she knew the time wasn't right.

"Tsunade, I am also amazed by this situation and meeting. After all, looking at your postures, I am sure anyone else would have the same idea." Orochimaru replied sarcastically as he heard Tsunade's words. Hearing him, Tsunade looked at Akane and, noticing the lack of space between them and the fact that they looked like they were about to sleep together, she understood what Orochimaru meant.

"Tsuna-Nee was about to treat my injury," Akane said to clear up the misunderstanding between them, even though it wasn't. He also knew it wasn't the right time, but at the same time, he wanted to rope Orochimaru into their group because he knew that sooner or later, if not Hiruzen, who had less chance of making a move, Danzo would surely make a move on them.

Unlike others, he didn't plan on letting Danzo go as soon as he made a move, since he planned on taking control of the Root and using Zetsus together to infiltrate the other villages completely.

After all, Infinite Tsukuyomi was the easiest way of freeing Kaguya, and all he had to do was use a bit of all the tailed beasts' chakra and break the seal. The rest would be done by Kaguya herself, and Akane knew that Hagoromo's spirit wasn't even his enemy, the real enemies were Otsutsukis and most important thing about which he had bad feeling about, the spatial invasion.

It was ridiculous of him to even think of spatial invasion, but the fact that he was in a manga he had read before was even before ridiculous.

"Huh? Ah, yes, he is right." Tsunade, who heard his words, understood what he was trying to say and looking at them, Orochimaru narrowed his eyes.

"What injuries? Let me see too," He said with a glint in his eyes. Orochimaru knew they were hiding something, and for some reason, he had a feeling that it would be a big secret. But looking at Tsunade's expression, who seemed to be one step away from flaring up, Orochimaru understood he shouldn't push anymore, or he would be in the same condition as Jiraiya was every day when they were together.

"Here," Akane, who knew that Orochimaru wouldn't let go of this thing easily, decided to remove the seal on his right hand. He lifted his sleeve up and a hand with different marks and scars was visible to them.

Looking at the scars and marks, Orochimaru didn't feel anything but he was more curious about the change in appearance of Akane's hand and the slight chakra he had sensed before. His snake-like eyes with curiosity evident in them looked at Akane like how a scientist would look at his new specimen, and just before Orochimaru could control his expression, his head was smacked by Tsunade.

"He is mine, I mean, my student. Do you understand? Don't even think of it." Tsunade said as she put her hand on Orochimaru's shoulder, and feeling the strength behind her grip, Orochimaru nodded, and he understood how serious Tsunade was about it. But the words she said made him understand that there was something more to their situation and he decided to check up later.

"I understand. Also, I think we have more important things to do, don't we? You still haven't introduced me to your 'student', Tsunade."

Hearing his words, Tsunade let go of Orochimaru and turned towards Akane. Before healing the scars that she knew about and the reason behind them, she hit him lightly on his forehead, and Akane rolled her eyes at his actions. With a pained look on his face as if he was parting from his lover, Akane looked at the scars and marks fading from his hand, and taking a chance on the situation, Tsunade pushed his other sleeve up and used chakra to open the seal there too.

Seeing this, Orochimaru, who had been curious about the seal, looked at Tsunade, and when their eyes met, Tsunade understood what he wanted to know.

"Later, but I will need something in return, too."

"Hmm," Orochimaru just hummed in response since he wanted to satiate his curiosity and check if the applications of the seal could help him with his things.

"He already knows about you, Orochimaru: my comrade and friend, and he is Akane Yanagi, my student."

"Hmm, that's it?" Orochimaru asked as he stared at Tsunade, who stared back at him. In the end, Orochimaru understood that she wouldn't tell him anymore and in return, he asked, "So I can presume that he is good at Medical Justu, Violent, at least Chunin level, exceptional control of chakra and good at mind, which you aren't good at."

"Yeah, you can... No, wait a minute. What did you mean by the last one?" Tsunade, who was about to agree to Orochimaru's words as he understood what she was trying to say, froze when she heard his last words.

"Yeah, you can," Akane commented before Orochimaru could say anything, and Tsunade turned towards Akane with a frown. Akane and Orochimaru's eyes met, and they both had a similar kind of glint in their eyes.

'My kind,' Orochimaru thought as he looked into Akane's eyes, and he understood Tsunade's new 'student' wasn't as simple as he seemed, and their relationship surely wasn't a simple teacher-student relationship. After all, if someone else had said those words, the hospital would be the only place anyone would find him if he were treated by Tsunade later. If not, the only place would be the cemetery, where only his grave would be found.

"Akane!" Tsunade called Akane out, who started to laugh as he looked at her annoyed face. Now on Tsunade's left side, Akane was laughing, and on her right side, Orochimaru was chuckling. Looking at the two bastards who seemed to be of the same kind, Tsunade wanted to shout, but she didn't. A smile appeared on her face, and looking at her important people laughing freely, Tsunade felt her resolve to get stronger and better strengthened.

"So, what are you doing here? The old man said you were on a mission, and because of you, I had to come here for a mission in my free time."

Remembering something and deciding to change the topic, Tsunade said the words and hearing her, Orochimaru nodded at her.

"I am back from the mission, but I received another one in between. It seems you have received a rather troublesome mission, right?"

"Huh? You met the Commander?" "No, here check this."

Orochimaru took out a scroll and gave the scroll to Tsunade. Taking the scroll, Tsunade opened it to read it. Beside her, Akane would have read the scroll with her if they were alone, but since he knew that Orochimaru was keeping an eye on him, he didn't move.

'I am sure he understands that we aren't in a simple relationship. I will leave hints slowly, and when he has realised them, it will be the time to rope him in, either by giving him what he wants or by overwhelming strength. The latter would only be possible in Konoha with grandma there, but I am sure of the first one.'

Akane had also thought of using dream manipulation, but that would be the last option, as he was sure that Orochimaru wouldn't be able to resist the temptation of being able to experiment freely in a place with unlimited resources and no moral values.

"Damn old man, I already have two missions and now this one. I can't even reject it since it is from the capital and a mission by Daimyo."

After reading the scroll, Tsunade threw it on the ground and cursed Hiruzen for giving her another mission that she couldn't reject.

"And it's not a simple mission, but healing the daughter of the Daimyo of the Land of Wind," Orochimaru commented while looking at Akane to notice his reaction.
