Akane looked at the Jonin, who took notice of his presence only after he released some of his chakra. He noticed how the Chunins couldn't sense his presence even after he stopped hiding himself.
"Who are you?"
Akane didn't answer his question. Instead, he looked at the three chunins and released his chakra even more. It was only then that the chunins sensed his presence and looked at him.
Looking at the scene, Jonin frowned. He couldn't understand what the unknown person was trying to do, and what he didn't understand even more was why he had revealed his presence to everyone.
When the Jonin noticed that the chunins were looking at him, an idea came to his mind.
'The camp isn't far from here. Since I don't know what this guy plans to do, it will be better to release the flare signal.'
He made hand signs behind his back, and the chunins who were looking at him took notice of his signs. They understood what the captain meant and decided to act as soon as possible.
Noticing their actions, Akane wondered what they planned to do. Hiding in the shadows, Tsunade, who was looking at the scene, understood what the Jonin planned to do, and after thinking for a moment, she decided to stop him.
'So he doesn't know about the signs. I should have expected this.'
Before Akane could completely understand what they had planned, the Jonin rushed at him. Taking the chance, the chunins decided to send the flare. Seeing the scene, Akane understood what they had done, and when he was about to rush, he noticed the Jonin using Earth Release: Earth Hand Technique to attack him.
Creating a Shadow clone to intercept the attack, Akane used lightning release chakra mode, and he disappeared from his place. He could use Adamantine Chains to intercept the flar, but he didn't want to use the technique even if he was sure that no one was watching him.
'I messed a little,'
As he rushed towards the flare, Akane noticed another flare being shot in the sky. Just as he was about to use an adamantine chain to stop that, he saw something flying in the sky and hitting the flares. Noticing this, Akane understood that Tsunade had shot the flare, and even though he was thankful for her help, he realised that he had another lecture to attend later.
'Let's deal with these shits for now.'
When the Jonin noticed the lightning sparks around the masked man, he understood that they were from Kumogakure. He had expected the flare combination to work, but when he noticed something striking the flares, he understood that someone else was present there too.
'This is bad, I need to do something to inform everyone about Kumo's interception and someone from the village is quite good at lightning release. His reaction speed was much faster than expected, and it seems my hand signs had been identified by them too.'
A bad feeling rose in Jonin's heart, and he understood that their situation had gotten even wor, and it would be extremely difficult to escape from the situation.
"A Jonin losing focus in this situation? It seems Iwa ninjas aren't as good as they say."
While the Jonin was thinking of the situation, Akane noticed this, and he said the words mockingly. He could somewhat guess what the Jonin was thinking since he had shown the Lightning release chakra mode for some reason.
Hearing the words, the Jonin became aware of the situation he was in. Taking the chance that the masked man hadn't attacked him, the Jonin backed away and went to the chunins.
"Formation 2," He whispered in a low voice, and the chunins gathered around him to form a rhombus with all of them at the vertices.
The Jonin used hand signs to tell something to the Chunins, and Akane narrowed his eyes at his actions. Since he didn't understand what they said, he decided to just attack them before they could initiate the plan.
With lightning sparks around his body, Akane rushed at the Jonin, who was at the front. Noticing the action, the three chunins stepped sideways, and the Jonin used the Earth-Release technique to create an Earth Wall in front of him.
From the side, the three chunins also used the Earth Release technique together, er and when Akane was some metres away from them, the earth walls moved and covered him.
'This will hold him for some time,' The Jonin thought in his mind, but unlike what he had thought, the opposite happened. Akane used an adamantine fist to destroy the wall and rushed towards the Jonin. He moved back and then sideways to dodge the attack, but Akane didn't let him. Before the Jonin could move, Akane's speed increased, and he attacked the Jonin in the stomach.
Kheugh!
The attack was hard enough to make Jonin bleed, and if it wasn't for Akane controlling his strength and not using Chidori, the Jonin would have already died. While all this happened, the three chunins were shocked by the sudden turn in events, and when they came to their senses, they started to form hand seals. Using a lightweight technique on the one chunin, the other two tried to push him away in the direction of camp, and these were their Captain's orders, i.e., take the chance and run away.
But the Shadow Clone that Akane created before appeared in front of them. On the ground, several seals appeared, and these seal patterns moved towards the chunins.
While the two of them couldn't escape the patterns, the third chunin, on whom lightweight technique was used, was pushed away but in a slightly different direction.
'Tsk!'
Noticing the chunin flying away, the Shadow Clone clicked his tongue. But he didn't run towards him and focused on suppressing the two Chunins he had caught. While all this happened, Jonin, who had been pushed away by Akane, checked the state he was in.
'He didn't use full force, or I would have died.'
The words appeared in his mind, and he looked at the masked man standing in front of him as if waiting for him to get up.
"Nice tactic, but did you forget that there is someone else with me?" Akane sarcastically, but the Jonin didn't reply. He took a look around to see the situation and saw two of his squad members lying on the ground, unconscious, but he couldn't see the other one.
"Oh, he is here too."
Hearing the words, the Jonin looked in that direction and saw another masked person holding his squad's third member by the neck and then throwing him in front of him.
"That was a bad performance."
Hearing the feminine voice, the Jonin understood that the other masked person was a woman, but the meaning of the words flabbergasted him.
"Yeah, I had to use your help twice," Akane acknowledged Tsunade's words. Even though he wasn't using all of his abilities, it was his choice to use limited strength to deal with them. So, the mistakes were all his, and for this, Tsunade had already prepared to lecture and punish him later.
