After driving a bit, the two of you arrive at the school. You furrow your eyebrows feeling very confused. He gets off his bike and motions you to follow him. The two of you walk into the school. You both walk up the stairs and in the direction of the student council office.
"Mitsuya." You calmly say before you stop walking. He stops walking and turns his head in your direction. You furrow your eyebrows and cross your arms. "Why are we going to the student council office?" You question. He stands still, staring at you. He then takes a deep breath and looks in the direction of the student council office room.
"It's nothing bad..."
"You brought me here without explaining anything to me... can you just tell me why you brought me here before we walk through the door...?" You ask. He stares at you a bit before nodding and placing his hands in his pockets. He slowly approaches you and relaxes his eyes.
"You've mentioned something about a girl named Kasumi... right?"
"Mhm..." You hum. You furrow your eyebrows a bit because you can't really remember talking to him about this.
"You're friends with her, right? Apparently she's been causing trouble."
"Huh?"
The sound of a door opening causes you to flinch. Sakura, the student council president walks out and approaches Mitsuya from behind. You tilt your head in confusion as the two of them stare at you.
"What are you talking about?" You ask Mitsuya, making eye contact with him.
"Thank you Takashi-kun...." Sakura calmly says.
"Yeah." He slowly nods.
"What's going on... I'm confused."
"Come... come into the student council office... I will tell you-" Sakura motioned the two of you to walk into the room.
After walking in, the both of you sit down on the couch in front of her desk. She walks behind the desk and pulls open a drawer under her desk. She then pulls out a big book and slams it down on the desk. She slowly looks up at you and smiles.
"I'm sure you have seen this book- or heard of it..." Sakura calmly says flipping through the book. You stare at the book, still feeling confused.
"Yeah... That's the book that has a bunch of information on it... of each student." You calmly say.
"Wait- really?" Mitsuya says looking confused.
"Mhm- and it's funny though- Yuki... how a certain page in this book is missing."
"What do you mean?" You question. Sakura looks at you and then flips through the pages and then stops at one page.
"Right here... the page was ripped out." She says, rubbing her finger along the ripped part of the page. You stand up and walk towards the desk to look at the book. There really was a page ripped out.
"What? Are you saying I ripped it out?" You ask. Sakura looks up at you and then back down at the book, flipping through the book again and stopping at another spot that also looks like the page was ripped out.
"This one was ripped out too..." She says touching the ripped spot.
"I don't get it-" You say feeling confused. Sakura sighs and looks up at you.
"It was a couple months ago... I saw you in the school gym... you were with that girl- Kasumi, right?"
"Mhm..."
"That was I believe- the same day I saw the book was missing- I had almost caught her that day too..."
"Huh?"
Sakura sighs and then closes the book. She walks towards a shelf in the room and pulling out a folder. She places it down and then opens it, flipping through the pages then stopping at one page, pulling it out. She opens the page, and a small envelope falls out. She picks up the envelope and opens it.
"Kasumi... you're close to her- right...?"
"I was-" You slowly say.
"Jun'ya said that too..." She slowly looks at you with a stern look in her face. "Kasumi isn't threating you... right?"
"No- she's not..."
"Mmm..." She continues to look through the envelope. "Yuki- can you do me a favor..."
"Hm?"
"Can you bring Kasumi to the student council office..."
You stare at her feeling confused. "Why do you say that? Can't you just go get her?"
"I could if I knew who she was..."
"Huh? What do you mean? Don't you have a record of everyone in the school and what classes they are in?"
Sakura stares at you for a while.
"Kasumi doesn't exist... well... the one you know doesn't exist-"
"Huh?" Your brain feels like it just exploded. "What are you talking about? I'm not delusional or anything... I've seen and talked to Kasumi- even Eli has... so has Hana... and Kisaki-"
"Kisaki?" Mitsuya says with a confused expression on his face. You slowly turn your head to look at him.
"I know she's a real person... but her identity isn't real. Kasumi doesn't attend any classes or appear during any clubs. But students and club members have been complaining about her... Every time I asked for her identity... or name... I've only been told about Kasumi Yoshizawa..." She mentions.
"So, you're saying Kasumi is using a fake name?" You ask.
"That or she doesn't belong to our school and is just free roaming." Sakura adds. You slowly nod and back away from the desk.
"Can you be able to get her to come to the student council office... since you're close to her." She asks. You slowly nod.
"I'll try."
"Thank you." She bows. "I will repay you for that."
You stand outside, staring off into the distance after learning about that. Mitsuya slowly approaches you. You turn your head before he got close enough to touch you.
"Do you consider me your traitor?" You calmly ask. Mitsuya stops walking and just stares at you.
"I don't want to talk about this right now... I have to go meet up with someone... So, I'm going to drop you back off at the bakery."
"Why did you bring me to the school to begin with? I don't understand why you were involved in this..."
"It's cause I'm the only one who personally knows you from school- or well the only one who personally knows you and the only one to willingly bring you." He replies.
"So, Sakura asked you to bring me?" You ask.
Mitsuya nods and gets on his bike. "Come on."
You stand still staring at him for a bit before pulling your phone out and messaging someone. Mitsuya watches as you do.
"You have a phone now...?" He slowly says. You slowly lift up your head and nod. He looks like he was going to say something but then changes his mind and looks away. Your phone vibrates in your hand causing you to check it again. After checking it you slowly nod and place your phone back into your pocket.
"Do you know where Baji lives?" You softly ask. Mitsuya stares at you for a bit before nodding. "Can you take me there?" You ask. He doesn't move and just stares at you for a good ten seconds before nodding again.
"Yeah." He quietly says. You get on his bike and he starts it, pulling off.
After arriving to the complex Baji lives at, Mitsuya lets you off and drives away. You watch as he disappears into the distance. You hear someone jump down the stairs from behind you. You quickly turn your head to see Chifuyu smiling at you. You smile back at him.
"Hey." You softly say.
"Mitsuya dropped you off?" He asks, walking to stand beside you.
"Mhm..." You hum.
"What happened? You didn't tell him about us working with Kisaki... right?"
"No... I didn't... it was about something else." You slowly say.
"Mmm- fill me in." He says smiling.
"Okay- but should we meet Kisaki and Hanma?"
"Mhm... we will- but you can still tell me what happened."
"Okay." You nod.
After walking for over an hour, you and Chifuyu finally make it to the place you both are supposed to meet Kisaki at. Chifuyu sighs and scratches his head after taking in all that information.
"I had my suspicion on Kasumi for a while... but that was unexpected... Is she really just faking her identity or something... I don't get it-"
"Her name is Kasumi Yoshizawa... yet there is no such person in our school- that part doesn't make any sense to me..."
"Don't think too hard about it... We should focus on this Hakkai situation before we try to figure out this Kasumi problem" Chifuyu slowly says.
"Right..." You softly say. Your eyes widen and you look at Chifuyu. "Kisaki knows about her..."
"Huh?"
"Kisaki knows about Kasumi... so maybe he might know what Kasumi is doing."
"She probably really didn't belong to your school though. Remember when you said Kisaki was getting information on you and Kasumi was the one giving him that information."
"Mhm... maybe she did sneak into the school just to talk to me-" You slowly say. Chifuyu sighs and rubs his arms.
"There is so much going on..." He sighs.
"Yeah... honestly..." You sigh too. Chifuyu opens the door to the restaurant and slowly walks in. Kisaki is sitting at a table in the corner of the restaurant. Hanma is sitting across from him, leaning back a bit. You both stop at the table, staring at the two of them.
"Sit." Kisaki calmly says, motioning for you both to sit. Chifuyu sits down beside Hanma and you sit down beside Kisaki.
"Christmas is in a few days... which means we will have a few days to prepare." Kisaki calmly says. "Let's talk over the plan."
After discussing the plan, the meeting comes to an end. Kisaki stands up and adjusts his jacket.
"We will be meeting again the day before... on Christmas eve... alright?" Kisaki states. You slowly nod.
Both Kisaki and Hanma walk in the direction of the door before leaving. You watch as they leave. Your eyes slowly drift back towards Chifuyu who is sitting quietly at the table.
"In a way I don't like this plan... wouldn't this come out to be problematic...?" Chifuyu asks.
"What do you mean...?" You ask.
"He said Taiju won't be alone... but then why did that guy say he was going to be?" He rasps, furrowing his eyebrows.
"It makes sense though- why would he just tell us that and then not be there preparing for us to arrive..." You comment.
"But why does he want you to distract them while we go into the church..." Chifuyu adds. You stare at Chifuyu a bit before shrugging.
"That part doesn't make sense to me."
"I don't like it." Chifuyu sighs and slowly standing up. You slowly nod, staring down at the table. Chifuyu's eyes quickly widens and he shuffles through his jacket pocket. "Oh yeah... heheh... here." He softly says placing a box down in front of you. You stare at the box feeling confused.
"What is that?" You question.
"Open it." He bubbles, smiling at you. You slowly nod and open the box; it was a necklace. You tilt your head a bit, looking at the charm on it.
"Where is the other part of it?" You question, feeling confused. He unzips his jacket a bit to show his necklace... the other piece of it was on his. Your eyes widen a bit.
"Because we are partners... in crime you know- so I thought if we both had something that matches then it will represent, we both work together..." He softly says, awkwardly laughing a bit. You stare at him a bit before you burst out laughing. He looks at you confused.
"This is so cute..." You laugh.
"Why are you laughing..." He questions. You stand up and smile at him, trying not to laugh more.
"You look embarrassed and sounded really out of character, so it threw me off a little."
"Huh..."
"You look nervous is what I'm saying..." You chuckle.
"It was that noticeable..." He sighs. You smile and nod. He sighs again and rubs the back of his head. Your smile goes away, and you look back at the necklace. "Wait... but why did you give this to me? It's not Christmas yet..."
"I know- but it's your birthday."
Your eyes widen and your heart drops. "Oh... right- oh- my god... I forgot." Chifuyu looks at you confused.
"You forgot your birthday?"
"I mean- I didn't mean to..."
"It's okay- I kinda... forgot mine too." He laughs.
"Huh? Kinda-? When is your birthday?" You question.
"It was yesterday..."
"HUH!"
