Two weeks later, Dawn and Jamal had started couples counselling.
Their first session had gone better than they expected. They still had a lot to learn about each other, but they were both happy and determined to do it.
They had also started reading books about relationships. Their counselor had recommended some materials to them, and had advised them to start first and make it their thing before involving the others.
Although Jamal had already turned it into a small competition between them both to see who could finish a chapter first.
Dawn had laughed at him when she caught him reading ahead so he could answer more questions during their discussions.
Apart from that, life had been busy.
Stefan and Genevieve were yet to return from their honeymoon, so the workload on Jamal was still very exhausting.
Some days, Jamal returned home so tired that he barely had the strength to do anything beyond eat dinner and spend a little time with Dawn and Josh.
