Aurora stayed silent for a while. Her heart felt heavy. She stared out the window, watching the clouds move slowly in the sky.
Then, in a soft voice, she spoke.
"Adeline… my cousin sister will be arriving at the hospital soon," she said.
There was a pause on the other side. Aurora continued,
"She might ask you about what happened last night… how Henry hurt you. I think she wants to know if I told her the truth. Can you please tell her everything, but…" Aurora's voice lowered.
"But please make sure to hide the fact that you know that Adriana is Henry's girlfriend."
There was silence for a few seconds, and then Adeline smiled softly.
"Okay," she said. "I'll do that. After all, you've done a lot for me, Miss Dawn. This is the least I can do."
Aurora let out a small breath of relief.
"Thank you," she whispered.
"But that's not all," Aurora added after a moment.
Adeline raised her eyebrows, curious.
