When Sera regained her consciousness again, she noticed that she was still inside her quarters. She tried to sit up but fell on her back as intense dizziness hit her. Just as she thought about what was happening, she sensed a movement on the side of her bed.
"Sera!" She heard her father's voice, then felt his hands grasp one of her own. The lampshade on her nightstand turned on, illuminating the place. "Thank goodness you woke up. Don't ever scare me like that again." He said with desperation.
It only dawned on her what could have happened after she returned from the War Room.
'Ah, right. The Heartbane,' she thought. Rowan must have told her father what she had done and sought his help.
She opened her mouth to say something, but she felt her mouth and throat dry. Although she wasn't in pain anymore, Sera thought she had just woken up from a long sleep.
