"Welcome to your first therapy session. I am Dr. Lee, and it is a pleasure to have you here with me."
Ruan nodded as he crossed his legs on the plush armchair across from her.
Dr. Lee, a woman with short dark hair and a warm smile, looked up from her notepad. She adjusted her sleek, silver-framed glasses perched on the top of her nose.
"Hello again, Ruan," Dr. Lee said, her voice gentle and soothing. "It's nice to meet you. I want you to feel comfortable around me."
Ruan said nothing and just stared at the woman. He hadn't been sure about therapy, but since Lucas had insisted it would be good for him, he decided to trust his word. Now, sitting across from Dr. Lee, he wasn't so sure. He didn't even want to be there.
"So," Dr. Lee leaned forward slightly, still smiling, "let's start by having you tell me a little bit about yourself?"
