"My dear husband," Taryn called. She rested her head on Phillip's chest. She was happy, this was the second time she had spent the night in Phillip's room in a long while. She had to commend herself for being able to pull it off, but at the same time, she was more concerned that Phillip was feeling lonely.
Did she care about his loneliness? No, far from it, only if it benefitted her in some way, and in this case it did.
"Yes," Phillip grumbled.
Taryn looked up at him, his tone clearly showed that he was not in the mood to speak.
"Why did you answer me like that?" she frowned.
"What do you mean like that?".
"You know how you answered, as if you are tired of me," she said.
"Please, do not start, Taryn, I am not in the mood to deal with this right now," Phillip sighed.
Taryn got up from his chest, pulled the covers and moved back.
