Reph sprinted down the corridor, his face covered in sweat as he dragged Silvia by the hand, who was visibly shaken by what had happened.
With a clear shakiness in her voice, she shouted desperately:
"REPH, STOP! W-WE CAN'T LEAVE THEM BEHIND—!"
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT US TO DO!?" Reph swiftly interrupted her, continuing to drag her along down the corridor. "Nagi's dead, we can't change that. Our royal guards are dead too; we can't change that either! We're too weak to change anything!"
Although the prince wasn't shaking as terribly as the princess, he was equally affected by her.
"B-but what about Torahiko—"
"We can only hope that buffoon can get out alive!" Reph shouted, noticing the lights in the halls had completely shut off. He scowled and manifested light of his own.
In truth, Reph doubted that Torahiko could have escaped on his own—he wasn't naive enough to think the Raiketsu was strong enough to contest with the cultist priest.
