Chapter 125 - Chapter 125: War of the Gods II

[3rd POV]

Ripping towards the Gods, Morgan absorbed the blasts that slammed against her figure, the energies doing nothing more than rejuvenating her reserves and causing her to grin. As the power had cemented the fact that she was now more than capable of killing the Gods in front of her, and absorbing their power without too much difficulty.

Morgan noticed the fear that was growing in the eyes of some of the Gods, especially once her hand glowed and tore apart a small group of them. Each of the Gods that she was slaying ranged from the higher levels of Ultimate class, to Satan class in power. None of them were Super class or anything, except for Zeus himself.

The rest were pretty underwhelming in Morgan's eyes, which is why she was tearing them all apart without even batting an eye. She didn't see any reason to waste her time on them, so she was killing them as fast as she could, so that she could move onto the next.

That and because the Gods were a very annoying bunch, and there were a lot more Gods than you'd think. There were thousands of Gods in the little coalition that Zeus had formed, not to mention the mercenaries that he had hired, the very few rogue elements he managed to get to before she had taken them out, and the armies they themselves had made.

Not through real people, but quite literally made. There were a lot of Gods that had the ability to create life, even if it was limited in nature. And when you have all of them working together in tandem, you can create quite a force. It was nothing compared to Morgan's army of course, but it was damn strong.

Much stronger than Morgan had originally been expecting out of them. But not enough for it to really be much of an issue. Not when a single member of her peerage could take out 85% of their army. And the full brunt of her peerage could wipe out pretty much every single member of the coalition.

It all depended on Quetzalcoatl and how strong they were, and whether or not they were even involved in the war in the first place. If they were similar to Amaterasu in the fact that they were like their Fate counterpart, then it'd be a much bigger threat. As in that universe they were amongst the most powerful servants, and most powerful Gods when fully unleashed.

Which this version likely would be, if Amaterasu was anything to go by.

She'd find out soon, once she headed to the home of their pantheon. They were working with the Coalition anyways, so she had a reason to head there anyways, which would make her life a whole lot easier. Well, mostly at least.

Ripping the heart out of another God, turning the body of said God into ash, Morgan turned back to the others. The blood that would have normally coated her form from all the Gods she had been massacring, was effortlessly trickling off of her.

She was actually saving it all, as the blood of a God would be useful in a multitude of ways. And she was pretty confident that the blood of a deity would be a great way of strengthening the vampire aspect of her faction, since certain types of blood was far better for them than some others. God Blood was amongst the strongest that they could drink, the others that were up there was dragon blood, angel blood, and devil blood.

But God blood tended (on average) to be far stronger than any other type of blood. Simply due to the nature of God blood, and the fact that it was connected to the domain that the God had dominion over. And thanks to this, once a vampire drank the blood of a God, they would be granted power connected to that domain.

Like achieving the ability to conjure flames after drinking the blood of a fire God, water for a Water God, so on so forth. Using this, she could grant power to a lot of Vampires, permanently strengthening her faction in that aspect, while also giving her the ability of handing out that same God's divinity to someone else.

By the end of the War, she expected to have thousands of new Devil Gods, Angel Gods, Fallen Angel Gods, and a few other types of Gods thanks to the increasing number of species that were in her faction. And with more and more supernatural entities joining every single day, her faction was only going to continue to get bigger.

"You know, I did warn you. You expected to have a chance in this war, but you don't. No matter if you bring out all of your pantheons at the same time, or if you get Shiva to aid you, it will not matter in the end. And just remember this, you are fighting me alone right now. Imagine what the power of my entire faction looks like" Morgan said with a cold smile on her face, staring into the eyes of Zeus.

The man looked terrified and furious at the exact same time. He knew that he stood no chance against her, not as he looked around, finding that around half the Gods that had been with him were now dusted corpses. Nothing more than ash that flew off into the distance, atomizing further only a few moments after they floated away.

"You forced us to do this, don't you see that!? You have become a force that cannot be ignored! You have upset the balance between pantheons and factions! That balance has been around for thousands of years, longer than you or your mother and father have lived! And you have ruined that!" Zeus roared at her, the thunder above crackling, but not striking.

Morgan was actively stopping it from doing anything more than making some noise in the skies above. The sounds not doing anything to her beyond annoy her a bit.

"And why should I care? This so called "Balance" was never truly balanced. It was formed because you Gods bully anyone that comes anywhere near your scales of power. You are all so arrogant that you cannot stand the idea of someone reaching your level, besides other Gods, or those that even you gods understand are your superiors, like the Dragon Gods" Morgan responded with a snort, finding his explanation to be laughable.

But she was beginning to realize that a lot of things about the Gods were laughable at best. The fact that they didn't understand even the most basic of things regarding her faction and its progression, was hilarious to her.

"You-you" "Me! Yes, me. I am the one that is pushing MY faction forwards. I am the one that is going to decimate this supposed "Balance" of yours. And I am the one that is going to happily, and gleefully obliterate every damn God that contends against me and my people" Morgan cut the man off, her eerie smile forming once again as she stared at the enraged God.

His anger was nothing to her, nor was the other Gods as many of them continued to attack even as they walked. She was almost absentmindedly attacking the Gods around her, killing more and more of them as less and less of them were able to get in her way. This made it easier to kill them, and therefore easier to kill the one after.

At the rate she was going, all the Gods in the area were going to be dead, making a permanent and rather large dent into their forces. That dent would be a lot larger than what a dent on a car would look like.

It'd be more like a gaping hole.

Zeus looked around, seeing the terror in the eyes of his fellow Gods. The desperation begins to grow in some of their eyes.

He saw the look of fear in others eyes, as they were all beginning to look for a way out. A way to escape this situation, only for his own eyes to widen as the ones that looked away in fear turned to a mist of blood before his very eyes.

And Morgan stood where they had a moment ago.

"What? Are you looking away from me? And here I thought the Great Zeus, King of the Gods didn't get scared! Guess I was wrong" Morgan said, staring at the God King as he watched more and more Gods die before his very eyes.

And his fear grew, as he floated back. Before he made a decision, and yelled out.

"RETREAT!" Zeus roared, as lightning crackled and boomed onto his form, and he disappeared, the other Gods looking around and soon doing the same.

All the while, Morgan silently watched them, a smile on her face.

She had let them go of course. As unknown to each of those Gods, they had brought a rather explosive surprise along with them.

One that would begin the war for real.

And as Morgan let them leave, she had only one thought on her mind.

'Let's see what the Hindu Gods do now'
