Chapter 49 - Chapter 49: Pillar of Strength

Back at the hotel, a sleeping Testarossa wakes up. While looking around the hotel, she noticed that Jade was nowhereto be found. She stepped outside with Agera and Vritra around her neck. Rain and thunder were Pouring down endlessly Testarossa closed her eyes and began searching for Jade's mana. While searching, Testarossa blocked out all forms of noise and fully spread her mana in all directions. She came across a fading green mana that belonged to Jade. Without a second thought, Testarossa flew into the sky and turned into a raging flame that headed towards Jade's location. Meanwhile, Maria and Kairi stand over Jade's and Nicole's unconscious bodies. With hesitation in her voice, Kairi said, "What should we do with them?" Maria smirked and said, "We will pin them to a cross and burn them alive. If this dragon doesn't want to show itself, we will force it to come out." While Maria was about to grab Jade, A massive flame engulfed Jade and Nicole, forcing Maria and Kairi to move away from them. As the flame faded, Agera and Vritra enlarged themselves to protect them. Testarossa clutched Jade's body; her body was cold, battered and broken. Testarossa spoke in a regretful tone, "I am sorry, Jade. Once again, I failed to protect you." She placed her body onto the ground next to Nicole's before she released a tiny ember called "Heat of Warming" that will slowly heal them both. Testarossa walked in front of her Serpent and said, "Agera, Vritra. Protect them; these two are mine." The air around them started to get thick as the heat the Testarossa was emitting was making it hard for them to breathe. Maria and Kairi didn't hesitate before they both dashed towards Testarossa. Before they made impact, a gigantic flame pushed Maria and Nicole far away. Testarossa's rage was making her aura uncontrollable; with every step the flame she was emitting started to grow. In a saddened voice, Testarossa said, "I will burn you all to ashes along with everything else," before she could take another step. A dark blue energy stopped Testarossa's movement; a woman with blue eyes and a bird made out of pure mana Descended from the sky. Maria recognised her and said, "Selena, what are you doing here?" As she stood next to Maria, Selena said, "It's time for you to come back." Maria looked annoyed, but then Testarossa broke free of the imprisonment and dashed towards them. Selena grabbed Testarossa's arm before punching her in the stomach. As a blue magical power came from Selena's arm, Testarossa was sent flying. The bird on Selena's arm grabbed Testarossa, dragging her across the ground. Selena said, "Good job, Pvelgr." She stepped onto Testarossa's head and spoke, "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Selena Luminous. Along with Maria, I am one of the 3 pillars of the nether realm. "This war has just begun." She slammed her head into the ground before the rift to the nether realm opened. Kairi, Maria and Selena all stepped through the portal before it closed behind them.
