The dragon rose into the air, fully transformed now, having done so within a mere instant, an expression resembling pure anger and annoyance atop it's picturesque face covered in countless cars, hailed from countless eons ago, by countless enemies, all of which had been far more powerful than the current Avere in each and every conceivable way, the wings, long and scarred, be it without even the slightest of holes, all of those having healed over again, spreading out to over the entire sky of the dome that now stood on it's head, the two fighting and refusing gravity as they had risen so high up that the ground beneath the was not even visible anymore, and the dragon as well as the hero could both use their true power, with Avere simply getting lost in looking at what was happening in the glorious confrontation between a world's last hope and the destroyer that was coming, serving this so-called great white, protecting that rift out of which countless monsters must have already hailed from.
It was majestic, more entrancing than one could even imagine, but the hero was not one to lack behind as it seemed, completely disregarding that his weapons might fall down upon the mortal world, he created thousands of swords, countless arrows, those very things Avere had previously spotted on the underside of the dragon's bellies, showcasing the very moment they had arrived there, as the dragon was now standing atop, showing the underside of the great creature, but not exposing any such weakness one could have perhaps expected, aside form the obvious ones such as the neck and the heart, one of which had turned out to be the end of this glorious world-ending creature, a being he was now certain could have perhaps, single-handedly, destroyed an entire continent of ehetria before anyone could have stopped it, before reinforcements from another world could have arrived to take care of it, perhaps even still failing.
The great swords of the hero were powerful, but as of right now, all they had achieved was destroying, they had also defended of course, btu never had he truly used them for utility aside from moving himself, other than the dragon that had previously split off this entire sphere from the world, be it that the air itself had not escaped, and that even gravity did not seem to be something to hold either of the two back, something that terrified Avere to no end as he realized that this very thing could also very well have been waiting under the chained islands in that forsaken realm he had been trapped in all those decades ago, or perhaps even just a few days ago, a few months, perhaps mere seconds, he really could not tell how the time was passing in this accursed place, and as he watched the great hero do something they had never done before, he could not cling to any thought he really came up with.
A cleaver had appeared atop the endlessly big dome, comically large, as large as half of the entire creation, large enough to split the dragon in half had it been needed to do so, but probably far too slow, and far too weak to actually do that, starting to chip as it even just moved, barely strong enough for what Karan had intended to do with it.
After the impact of the cleaver onto the frozen land, both fractured, and the world turned into countless floating pieces of stone, only the dragon remaining int he air, it's natural field, one that it should have a great advantage in, and yet, the ground that was floating around, still rising into the air, or perhaps starting to fall, there was really no way to tell, not even the air would tell anything to anyone right now, and any normal person that had been here had already died, losing their lives in this unparalleled clash between two such beings.
It went clash to clash, the hero summoned blades, countless pieces of formless metal, rigid and broken, bigger than most houses seen anywhere, and he sent them out towards the flapping wings of the endlessly tall creature, perhaps the weakest part of the entire being, just as a butterfly could have their wings destroyed if one even just touched it by accident, just as if was mainly skin blocking the air from going through the wings of a dragon as it seemed, though that was still not enough as the creature effortlessly sent out a blast of fire and ice from it's maw, liquid ice spreading out everywhere and struggling to chain the flying places together, pulling on them to regain solid ground, perhaps the place the dragon preferred to fight, as those very chains were being destroyed by other summoned weapons over and over again.
Many of the blades were met with ice, many were met with magical constructs, but each and every one of the blade became stronger than the last, being intertwined with both mana and aura to float and shoot in unpredictable ways and be faster than Avere could even attempt to follow, breaking many of the laws of magic, such as the law of effortless control, he had seen before with Karan seemingly having vanished to somewhere completely different, perhaps even hiding within one of the endlessly big weapons that had started being created atop the dragon's head that had seemingly turned around all over, though Avere could not even tell if they were maybe laying on their sides all along, so he wasn't really a source someone could trust right now.
Still, without a doubt, despite the dragon having had a powerful start, with the dragon-sized black swords, covered in countless rusty spots, filled with rigid edges big enough for people to hide within, the very place Karan seemed to have vanished to as to protect his rather frail body, one that could simply not compare to a dragons as it seemed, the battlefield had been all but evened out, and it was about to begin the end of the entire clash, after many minutes, longer than almost any battle Avere and Cades had ever held, aside from training.
