Chapter 283 - Silver Ocean(48)

Finally, the blades moved towards the majestic creature whose name was still unknown, and a rageful roar spread out into the world, rupturing the eardrums of all creatures in the continent, creating typhoons far out, despite neither of the two fully realizing either of these things, the battle had heightened the chaos they were creating to an unnatural degree, and still, they did not care about that at all.

It was as if they were children instead of adults, they were fighting with tiny fragments of strategy, yes, but after all was said and done they were simply throwing as much power and pain at each other as they could, just as a mere child would punch another in a fight they were exchanging blows as well, this time, with the blades about to impale the now falling dragon that had seemingly stopped the enchantment on both himself and the rocks, causing all of this to fall down, aside from the blades, all of the dozens of great ones, the thousands of smaller ones, and the uncountable amounts of miniscule ones, were still following only Karan's commands who was now slightly visible as he was seemingly standing atop one of the great blades, leading it by reigns made of a whip, laughing like a madman as he stared at the backside of the dragon's right wing, unable to drive it towards the heart as he wished right now, but very much able to at least pierce that part of the great being.

The beast was now flying downwards, it's great wings, spanning around ten thousand feet in total, so far that any being with common sense would just stop running and give up, not the few survivors on the ground, though, who now still struggled to dig themselves up from the corpses some were buried under, the few people trapped under great rocks and endless corpses, buried under the monstrous army that was growing in number even more.

Undisturbed by all of that, however, the creature was diving for a whole minute before the clouds were impaled, and the blade was still following, together with an entire rain of weapons, as well as countless, millions of newly created arrows, each of which should be weak and not easily fired in normal cases, but in a case like this, where gravity had enhanced them to such a degree, they would become greater than almost anything normal people, even Avere could throw at monster.

And in the end, after the wild chase, the dragon landed, crashing into the hole created by the large dome it had stolen from mother earth, and causing the crater to widen even further, instantly sending out white flames burning the bodies and turning them even colder than before, sending out fumes and covering itself with a shield made of hard ice as it looked up, seeing countless blades falling, though most of them were sadly destined to miss it, causing it to crack something that resembled a grin, at least until the blade that Karan had been riding finally hit the ground, and as such, also the right wing of the great beast.

Countless blades pierced the frozen ground, impaling many corpses, spewing thick blood over the ground even more than it had already been dyed in the natural colour of the setting sun in this place, and the rocks falling from the great height created great explosions, corpses flying all over the air, some still alive, be it not for long, and Karan not caring about them anymore, yes, not int he slightest, he was simply looking at the dragon whose right wing he had directly impaled, the sharp sides of the two-sided, rigid blade, painful and slightly dull, created as such to cause even more pain to the horrible goliath, positioned to the inside of th-

With a horrible roar that made the whole world shake, with countless spikes of ice simply rising from the ground, corpses frozen within and still being shot at Karan who hesitated for a single instant, the great white dragon, now died red on his right wing and died in a pinkish hue all over it's body, unlike Karan who hadn't really been hurt all that much yet, ripped it's own, right wing, apart, turning it into nothing more than a fleshy accessory.

Karan failed to stand still, but finally, the two came face to face all over again, the dragon that had previously underestimated him seeing the hero in front of it's face and halting for a moment, as if to talk, not that the hero would ever give such a chance when he already saw the thick skin and unbreakable bones of the creature, as big as multiple trains stacked together, healing at a rate that was comparable to even his own, leading him to realize another thing about dragons.

Dragons were durable, and they were very big, they had few weaknesses across their ancient and quite majestic bodies, one of which being the dragon's heart, situated in the middle of their chest, the source of limitless mana refined through the air around them, the source of their regeneration, and, in part, natural durability, or their heads, which led their manifestations.

Right now Karan knew he had to defeat the creature while it was on the ground, while it was protecting the rift that had moved to somewhere else, the two invincible creatures having unknowingly moved through the scape quite a bit, so much that the rift had seemingly vanished, with only a faint, inconceivable cold still around to remain as a truth, none of which mattered to the hero that was now laughing as an insane madman all over though, flying atop another rigid blade, the dragon sending waves of icy spikes, littered with various corpses from all over, both children and women entangled in some cases, a grim reminder that many beings had been thrown around by their clash above the mortal world, none of which mattered to the obsessed Karan.

He was simply ready to create more weapons, but before he could, the dragon, seemingly desperate, spewed a roar more powerful than any he had ever seen before, knowing that the ice would not be able to stop him, being weakened by the various corpses that were littering on the inner structure of the powerful spikes and even icy hands it had planned on creating, swatting the pest away like a fly, hopefully breaking some important bones in the progress.
