"Hear me, dear mortals, hear the commandment of the emissary of the great white, hear the words of Shla-" he said before Karan, having arrived from somewhere far, far away, so far Avere had lost sight of him for a mere instant, despite still being able to see this entire battlefield like it was within his very hand, arrived, having attempted to kick his head, his armour having turned out to be surprisingly flexible, just for the monster to easily dodge that attack, faster than what a normal being could even remotely hope to be able to see and understand.
Despite the residue energy of the attack causing a shockw3avev far behind, intertwined with both mana and intent, as well as that third thing Avere could not, by the life of his, put a name onto, destroying a wide area and cracking the ground that was predestined to soon be covered in even more blood than it already was, the dragon, still with the long white hair waving in the wind, but not as multiple strands, simply as if it had a single strand of hair clinging it all together, as if it was a limb instead of hair, showing that the being whose name began with 'Shla' had not put all that much care into a suppsoed temporary body, he began talking once more, this time with his face showing obvious anger towards Karan, the hero of this place from what Avere knew.
"Very well, mortal, then we shall first take this bout and end it before I introduce myself to this pathetic world..." he uttered tiredly, filled with anger, but calming down and sounding almost bored towards the end, as if he had already expected this to happen, his hands, uncovered and looking almost as if they were freezing to death, covered in white crystals, started oozing a liquid, long and thick, shards of ice within, but the liquid did not seem to truly be a liquid.
The liquid that was being uttered was ice, not water, but liquid ice, it was water colder than ice itself, colder than the normal ice one would ever see, but harder than ice itself, as if a strand made to be used as a kind of horrid whip to destroy everything around itself.
That which was inside the hands of the dragon that had forced himself into a human form, was liquid cold, the very essence of what he was, the bringer of the great white, the bringer of the apathetic queen of the coming storm, the devourer of the frozen corpses.
But, still, the two were standing still right now, staring at each other, none of the two willing to make the first move, both knowing each other to be a great opponent, despite both of them never being willing to admit that fact if they were to be asked by someone else.
It took two minutes of them thinking before it finally began, both of them suddenly growing to unprecedented sizes, changing themselves to be bigger than most houses Avere had ever seen on ehetria, reaching hundreds of feet tall within an instant, both still with a humane appearance, be it that the dragon had now shown a bit of a scaley consistency to the skin that he had spun above the humanoid body at this size, another small prove they were not what they were giving themselves out as.
As if it was natural, the two began to exchange blows, the whole world shaking, people running, remote fractions of stones created by the steps of the two gigantic monsters, the blade of the hero somehow having vanished for a moment, crushing them as they were the sizes of entire houses, weighing dozens, if not even hundreds of tons on their own.
As the two giants, bigger than most of the beasts, if not all, that Avere had ever seen, aside from the one creature that he had seen before, the dragon's true appearance, thousands of feet tall at the very least, and presumably, according to what he had just seen, able to enhance it's own size as well, battled, Avere was stunned, simply watching the exchange of the simplest blows he had ever seen, magic not really enhancing it, intent not being put behind anything, only the unknown energy he had never felt before today, the thing he knew but simply couldn't put his name onto, powering the size of the two beasts as they battled, until he heard a voice in his head once more.
"Size changing, a basic skill of the formless rank, very dependent on that energy you are feeling, though I refuse to be the one to explain it all to you... it's something you'll only understand through experience after all..." the tired voice of the already dead Karan resounded as the real Karan was beginning to struggle, the dragon growing bigger than him, but seemingly already starting to grow smaller again, the eyes of the two interlocking.
"That was the moment both of us realized that size was important here, but neither of us could really risk all that much damage to the surroundings, people in my case, the monsters, or maybe something else, in his case, I'm not that sure about that." the tired voice resounded anew, making the battle seem almost normal as countless blades, gigantic, as big as entire mountains, appeared form seemingly nowhere, and the entire world seemed to freeze over as the two monsters in human guise began their preparations.
"Looks impressive, right, well it isn't." the voice began, quickly continuing as the weapons descend and were blocked by gigantic walls, resembling mountains made of ice, the two beasts having gained human forms anew and flying through the airs, evading each other's attacks with relative ease, the hero using a sword, his sword, to stand upon, seemingly leading it like an animal, the dragon having created ice to stand atop, resembling the look of that mage Cades, or Avere, had once encountered atop the wooden world, at least in the style..
