Malekith looked at the situation of the Nine Realms on the display screen inside the battleship: "The Nine Realms are almost aligned! We are going to Greenwich! The Aether is there! I will reclaim its power!"
Then he walked up to Algrim and said, "You will become the last of the Kursed."
Algrim was resolute: "I will give my life, as gladly as any of our people. As gladly as you would."
Malekith looked at Earth from afar: "You will become darkness, cursed to this existence until it consumes you."
He then took a Kursed stone from one of his soldiers and handed it to Algrim.
After taking it, Algrim looked at Malekith: "When that time comes, our enemies will not be able to stop you. I will destroy them all. I will make a better world for you."
Malekith slowly stepped back, and a dark elf approached bearing a mask similar to a bull's head. Soon after, several warships detached from the dark elves' mothership and headed toward Earth.
Tony and his friends on Earth had no idea that the dark elves were heading straight for them. They were busy studying the Aether particles, trying to determine what made this unusual Infinity Stone different from the others.
"The properties of this thing are very similar to those in the Mind Scepter, but I don't understand why it's liquid instead of solid like the other stones."
Banner observed the continuous flow of Aether particles through the scanner and kept recording its information.
Thor didn't concern himself too much with Tony and Banner's research. They had been studying the Infinity Stones for a long time, so it wouldn't hurt to let them study the Aether particles. Perhaps they could find a way to use them.
However, he still insisted on what he had said before: "We can't leave so many Infinity Stones on Earth. It's too dangerous! You can study it now, but I will take it away tomorrow!"
"Why are you in such a hurry?" Banner didn't quite understand Thor's urgency. Was this thing dangerous? Of course, from the perspective of it attaching to Jane's body, it was indeed dangerous, but that was only for individuals.
"Every five thousand years, the Nine Realms align. During this period, the borders between the realms become blurred. The gravitational anomalies that Jane discovered in London were a sign of this."
"Fortunately, this situation will resolve itself as the Convergence progresses and the alignment ends. The disturbances will disappear. But during the Convergence, the Aether will have tremendous power. The dark elves once sought to use this moment to rule the universe."
"Wait, what do you mean? What disturbances?" Tony looked at Thor with a frown.
"Does that mean the situation we saw in that factory will become more serious?" Captain America's expression grew concerned.
"Yes," Thor nodded to Captain America.
"Then what should we do?" Natasha also became serious.
"You don't need to do anything, just wait for the Convergence to end!" Thor had never experienced the Convergence himself, but according to what he had read, they simply needed to wait it out.
"London! That's the center! Look!" At this time Erik Selvig came over with a map.
"The Mayans! The Chinese! The Egyptians! They all used the gravitational effects! And they left maps!"
He spread the map on the table and everyone gathered around. They saw several red lines on the map. The intersection of the red lines was Greenwich, London!
Jane looked at the map and added, "The boundaries between worlds will be almost non-existent. The laws of physics would completely break down. Increases in gravitational effects, spatial extrusions."
"I don't understand!" Captain America shook his head to indicate that he didn't comprehend what Jane was saying at all, but it sounded terrible. However, there was one thing he understood very well.
"Okay! So we have to go there and evacuate people! Right?" Captain America turned his head and looked at everyone.
"That's right! Get ready to move out!" Tony gave the order, and everyone began to organize their equipment. At the same time, Tony immediately contacted Nick Fury and asked him to notify the local authorities in Greenwich to evacuate civilians to avoid any harm caused by spatial anomalies.
Malekith's fleet had already arrived over New York without anyone noticing. Even Heimdall, who had been watching Earth, failed to detect anything unusual.
Everyone was just preparing to depart when the spaceship carrying Algrim arrived outside Stark Tower, smashed through the glass, and invaded.
Algrim and his forces were well-informed about the Avengers. Although they had been sleeping, they had mysteriously been able to see the scenes on the Sky Screen. Therefore, as soon as he entered, he crushed the Kursed stone.
In an instant, his body began to convulse, and burning energy enveloped him, transforming him into a Kursed warrior. The employees working in Stark Tower were terrified by this sight and fled in panic.
JARVIS immediately alerted Tony, who was upstairs, that they had been invaded. At the same time, several warships sent by Malekith dropped their cloaking, and they all appeared to attack the anti-aircraft defenses deployed by Ross over the past six months.
Because the attack was launched so suddenly, Ross's troops had no time to react. A large amount of anti-aircraft weaponry was destroyed, and many New York citizens were caught in the dark elves' artillery fire.
The mission of these dark elves was to prevent human weapons in New York City from interfering with Algrim's retreat, provided that Algrim could seize the Aether particles from the Avengers.
However, these dark elves only knew about the Avengers from the Sky Screen, and they were overly confident in the fighting prowess of the Kursed Warriors. They never considered what would happen if they failed.
When Tony received the warning about the attack, he was understandably confused, because he had no idea where the enemy had come from. The swarm of drones deployed on the roof of Stark Tower had not detected anything at all.
Even the satellites couldn't identify where these enemies had appeared from, and they were right under their noses, which made Tony realize the situation was extremely dangerous.
Through the holographic projection, he saw many warships of a type he had never seen before in the sky above New York. He narrowed his eyes and said, "Aliens..."
Thor handed Mjolnir to Natasha, and then he erupted with the power of thunder, breaking through the glass and descending toward Algrim's position. He had already spotted this obviously formidable opponent.
Tony couldn't help but feel relieved that he and the others had not departed yet and were still in Stark Tower. Otherwise, after they had left and the enemy attacked, the Tesseract, the Mind Scepter, and the Aether particles stored here would probably all have been lost!
