December 23, 1995. 10:00am. Christ Church, Oxford College. Upon feeling the vibrations of incoming Death Eaters, and after letting his teammates and Commander know, he continued with two more kuji-kiri mantras: Zai – creation and the understanding of nature. He followed this with Retsu – the control of time and space. "I see the consciousness of the laws of nature, I am that consciousness" he chanted. While Toh kuji connected him to nature in a meditative and harmonious way, the Zai allowed him a level of elemental control. He continued with the mantra for Retsu - "I am one with the energy of manifested reality; I have control over space and time, over the tomorrow of yesterday, over the here and now" he chanted. Evan felt time warp. His senses expanded. He "saw" the Death Eaters that had apparated into the annexes and tried to set them on fire. He saw it all – it was kind of weird as they were all standing statues, but he could see the future of their actions. Evan focused on removing all the oxygen from the buildings, concentrating that pure oxygen in small bubbles around the tips of the wands of the Death Eaters. Then he let time continue, watching as the Fiendfyre exiting the Death Eater's wands ignited the concentrated oxygen, causing the Death Eaters to be engulfed in balls of flames. He then took control of the Fiendfyre and moved it like an undulating dragon, through the doors and outside to the Quad where they corralled the Dementors. As the Dementors congregated above the fire pit, a 'spit' of fire shot out from the surrounding ribbon of fire, lighting the fuel. The Dementors tried to float higher to get away but the undulating fire dragon engulfed each one, causing the Dementors to scream while they were destroyed.
Time then reset to normal. Evan scanned the rooftops and Quad, performing overwatch as was his remit.

December 23, 1995. 10:00am. Christ Church, Oxford College. Readiness Unit Team 5 POV – Lieutenant Johnson was Team 5 Leader. As directed, they wore special full-face supplied air masks that provided both protection for their eyes and air into the enclosed space. As he heard "incoming" over the coms, he saw a group of black-robed terrorists appear just a few feet in front of him. He was just getting his weapon on target when the terrorists were engulfed in flames. The resulting blast of fire knocked him and his team back a few feet, but otherwise they were not injured. As he raised his head, he saw the damnest thing – the fire became a long-bodied dragon which 'danced' its way out the door!
December 23, 1995. 10:10am. Christ Church, Oxford College. All was quiet. A smoky mist hung in the Quad, created by the exhaust of the anti-tank missiles and all the burnt cordite. A few car alarms could be heard in the distance, probably as a result of the massive shockwaves sent out by the missiles exploding against the Giants.
Time – 10:15. A group of Aurors popped into the center of the Quad, wands raised and ready to fire. "Aurors! Drop your weapons!" was heard shouted out from the rooftops. The Aurors glanced up and raised their wands to fire when another shout was heard – one they knew. "Sonorous. Senior Auror Scrimgeour – have the Aurors stand down immediately. That is a direct order from your Head of Department!" Madam Bones yelled out. "And you are all 15 fucking minutes late!" she yelled out, frustrated. A few minutes later, she approached the shocked Aurors, "And you all just violated the Statute of Secrecy!" she said in a fierce tone. The Aurors were slack jawed, trying to make heads and tails of what they saw around them. They could make out 15 Giants, or what was left of them. Muggle soldiers where collecting the dead Death Eaters, lining them up like trophies, slicing open their left sleeves exposing the Dark Mark, and removing their masks. The soldiers then photographed each of the Death Eaters.
Madam Bones enquired why it took the Aurors 15 minutes to arrive. This was the third time of an attack on the muggle population, and each time the Aurors were late by over 10 to 40 minutes after the attack. This was unacceptable in her opinion, and she demanded an answer from Senior Auror Scrimgeour. Madam Bones asked him to meet her in her office later that afternoon, before they met up with Minister Fudge. The total tally for the day: 15 Giants dead, 30 Dementors destroyed, 25 Death Eaters dead. In the last two months, the muggles had been able to kill almost 90 Death Eaters, putting the Auror department to shame. Madam Bones told her Aurors to collect the dead Death Eaters and Giant remains and return to base afterwards. They were going to have a talk.
