The knock on the door was firm -commanding. The type of knock Mina hated. Naarah glared at Mina from the sofa, a huff left her lips and her arms were folded. " Don't open it."
But Mina, with Ellie perched on her hip, sighed.
They both knew who knocks like that. But her body itched for her to open the door. Aaron didn't need permission to walk through the gate; he already had recognition from their computer. So both Mina and Naarah knew it was him. Mina turned to look at her friend.
" I can't," she said before she pulled the door open.
Aaron stood on the porch with a crisp black shirt with the sleeves rolled, but what caught her off guard wasn't the soft gaze she met, but everything behind him. Five of his men were carrying bags. Not just grocery bags. Boxes, Diapers, Formula. A baby crib. Clothes, even toys with their tags still on them.
Minas' eyes widened. "What.....is this?"
Aaron smirked lightly. His gaze travelled from her body before he met her eyes. She was still in shape and that was what he loved about her. Her heart thumped again in her chest. His hot gaze was doing something to her. She had to push the desire that was trying to take over her down. Naarah was right. She would allow her to bang her, and all her senses would fly out the window. She told on her ground and looked up. Aaron didn't miss the trembling of her body. A smirk tugged on his lips. He couldn't wait to wife her up. Shooing away irrelevant objects from her. His eyes softened.
" Supplies. For you. Our baby. And... my cousin."He said the last part with resentment in his tone, but Mina caught the softeners afterwards. No matter how many times they quarrel, those two love themselves but refuse to acknowledge it.
From the sofa, Naarah muttered loud enough to hear. "Bribery."
Aaron rolled his eyes. He cleared his throat and looked at the woman he had come here for
"C....can I come in?" he asked
"No! He'll to the freaking no, Aaron." Naarah exclaimed.
She got up from the sofa and walked towards the door. Her arms folded against her chest.
"I refuse. I'm not allowing a liar into my house."
"Naarah," Mina called her name.
Naarah scoffed and said;
"You can't be serious, Mina. Please don't tell me you've forgiven him. He lied to us, to his daughter. Ellie is almost a year old and hasn't been in her life for forever."
Mina sighed and said; " But he's here."
"I can leave if my cousin doesn't want me here, but at least accept the gifts."
" You mean bribery."
"Call it what you want, but I had the Mach and Mach you were eying a few months ago."
Naarah's eyes widened in excitement. She placed her hand on her chest.
"Oh goodness. Did I say you couldn't come in? Pardon me. Do come in, dear cousin. Such a generous and thoughtful person."
Mina rolled her eyes and muttered.
" Wow, so easily bought."
Ellie immediately reached out to the toy that was peeking out from the box.
Aaron smiled. He knew instantly that he would win Mina's heart through their baby. And as for his cousin, he just has to buy the things she loves. Aaron stepped in, his presence filling the hallway. He sat on the sofa with his legs spread open. Mina subconsciously licked her lips. Naarah cleared her throat and took Ellie from her. She whispered to Mina;
"I knew you would be easily banged but not this fast. Good luck to you."
