"Umm, it's good to see you, princess," Aaron said
Mina nodded her head at him. She was still red from what Naarah said. She sat across from him.
The tension was intense -mixed with desire and conflict. Mina fidgeted with her fingers before saying;
" Why did you lie, Aaron?"
The question threw him off guard, but he knew she needed an answer. He shifted himself on the sofa to make himself comfortable. This was it. The moment he has to lay everything down.
"I'm sorry, baby. I thought I was doing the right thing. I thought hiding to save you and our baby was the best solution. I didn't know it was going to hurt you in the process."
"You didn't know it was going to hurt me in the process?"
Mina looked at him with teary eyes.
" I needed you, Aaron. I was in pain. Both physical and mental. And you didn't know it was going to hurt me. Is that all you have to say?"
His body trembled from the tears he saw in her eyes. His jaw tightened and his hands curled into fists. He rushed to his knees in front of her. His head was buried in her lap.
" I'm sorry, princesa. Every night I pictured you alone. I hated myself even more. I was selfish to think, leaving you alone was the right choice. Please forgive me. You can hit or do anything you wanna do to me I wouldn't stop you." Aaron choked in his words.
Mina sniffled back the tears. She raised her head to look at the ceiling. Pushing back the tears that were threatening to fall.
"Please, baby. Please give me another chance."
Mina wiped away her tears. " I've been giving you a lot of chances, Aaron. But you kept fucking it up. I can't do this anymore."
With that she stood up from the sofa, pushing him away.
Fear crept into his heart. He had never had a cardio attack or panic attack before, but he was experiencing one now. What was the meaning of what she said?
"What do you mean?" Aaron muttered. His eyes were blazing with fear. He didn't, he refused to process what she just said to him.
Mina looked away; however, she repeated what she said.
" We are over, Aaron. We can't be doing this. But, you will get to see Ellie."
"No! I refuse this. You can't tell me this. It can never be over between us Mina. I won't allow it. You are mine and I am yours. Wait? Is it because of Francis?"
" This has nothing to do with him, Aaron"
Aaron moved closer to her and held her shoulders firmly.
" Then tell me. I can change. I promise. I will leave everything behind to prove it to you. Please. Give me another chance, princess."
Mina pulled away from him.
"I'm sorry." She said hugging her arms.
She turned to leave, but Aaron pulled her towards his chest and clashed his lips on hers. He held her jaw, trying to squeeze his tongue into hers.
