The smell was getting stronger and stronger, and Philaya quickly opened her eyes, her coiled tail unconsciously swishing the ground.
With her movement, the gold coins buried beneath her started to clink and jingle.
After being groggy for a moment, Philaya finally woke up, let out a big yawn, then stood up and took a deep breath.
"There's something tasty!"
Philaya was a little foodie—she loved trying all sorts of foods with different flavors. She knew the Human World had a ton of tasty things, but since she was still a cub, she didn't dare wander around human settlements on her own, so she could only try out different seafood in the ocean, and sometimes catch a few demon beasts nearby.
The most delicious food in her memory was still the stuff her family elders had brought back from the Human World.
But today, she found that the smell she was sniffing was even better than anything she'd smelled before.
