Barnes Village city gate.
Viscount Lancelot waited with his soldiers right at the gate.
Through the gate, Viscount Lancelot could almost feel the cold emptiness of Barnes Village.
Seeing this scene, Viscount Lancelot felt a bit out of place.
After all, just half a day ago, he had returned from the bustling Hope Village.
Especially at night, Hope Village was even livelier, all bright lights and prosperity.
Barnes Village really has fallen!
Viscount Lancelot lamented, though a hint of amusement flashed deep in his eyes.
Don't blame him for gloating; it's just that Barnes Village's Viscount Robin thought too highly of himself and forced himself into this predicament.
Frankly, he should thank Robin—thanks to Robin's cautionary tale, he constantly reminds himself not to be too greedy, not to be too arrogant.
While Viscount Lancelot was caught up in his thoughts, he saw Viscount Robin arriving in a hurry with his men.
