The original soldiers from Barnes Village are now a bit "troubled".
Although Hope Village promised they'd all become soldiers, they're worried they won't get the same treatment as the original soldiers here.
But if they're made mercenaries instead, they're afraid they won't be able to adjust.
Since after becoming soldiers, aside from the infantry and cavalry who charge into battle, most served primarily in city defense, switching to mercenaries would take time to get used to.
So while they're considering, they're also waiting.
Waiting for Hope Village's official stance.
It's not that Pavel thinks too highly of himself, he just believes a territory's military strength depends on its soldiers, and as long as Hope Village wants to grow, it needs soldiers.
