Chapter 79 - Space Paradox - Uncomfortably welcoming

The siblings cautiously entered the darkened room, the air growing still and heavy as their footsteps echoed faintly against the stone floor. The room's only source of life was a strange green circle of grass at the center, an unnatural patch of vibrant growth in an otherwise barren space. Its placement felt deliberate, as if it were waiting for something—or someone.

Kaeltherion gestured for his siblings to halt, his glowing eyes narrowing.

Kaeltherion: "Hold thy positions. This reeks of artifice. Something is... off."

Velthara scoffed but complied, her scanning device unable to read the anomaly.

Velthara: "No kidding. Grass? In this place? Someone's playing games with us."

Lymtherion studied the surroundings, his sharp eyes scanning the room for traps.

Lymtherion: "The intent is clear. This is no mere coincidence. Whoever—or whatever—designed this wants us to see it."

As they approached cautiously, the green circle trembled slightly. A faint rustling sound echoed through the stillness, like leaves brushing against one another.

And then, from the center of the green patch, it appeared.

A small, unassuming yellow flower emerged, its petals pristine and its stem swaying gently as if caught in an unseen breeze. Its face—a cheerful, cartoonish smile—turned toward them, its expression unsettlingly innocent.

Flowey: "Howdy! I'm Flowey. Flowey the flower."

The voice was high-pitched and cheerful, echoing in the room unnaturally. The siblings immediately tensed, weapons subtly ready as they stared at the seemingly harmless creature.

Flowey's eyes darted between them, its smile widening unnaturally as it spoke again.

Flowey: "Golly, you are definitively not humans, but you all seem lost, don't you? Don't worry, your best friend Flowey will teach your how things work down here."

Flowey smiled and giggled, while plays a mischievous expression.

Velthara: "We don't need your help, little flower. We'll figure it out ourselves."

Kaeltherion: "Wait, Velthara. Let's hear it out. No harm in knowing more."

Flowey: "Oh, trust me, you do. You'll thank me later when you have monsters all over you."

Everything suddenly starts flashing, making all of them see hearts of where they are standing. After some black flashes, everything is a big black box with white lines, and each of them see a floating heart in front of them.

In front of Flowey, they see an upside down empty heart with fade white outline color.

Velthara:

Heart Color: Deep Purple with a shimmering Gold outline.

Symbolism: Represents ambition and mastery of manipulation (purple), alongside her regal lineage and sense of divine purpose (gold).

Kaeltherion:

Heart Color: Bright Blue with Silver streaks flowing within the heart, like moving rivers.

Lymtherion:

Heart Color: Fiery Orange with flickering Crimson edges, as if it's glowing like fire.

Zalthirion:

Heart Color: Gradient of Light Green fading into Emerald Green, with a faint Cyan outline.

Symbolism: Represents his connection to growth and curiosity (light green), as well as his intelligence and boundless creativity (cyan).

Theristra:

Heart Color: Pure White with an ever-shifting Rainbow outline.

Iraphalyn:

Heart Color: Pale Pink with glowing Violet veins running through the heart.

Valtheris:

Heart Color: Black with Dark Red tendrils wrapping within, glowing faintly.

Symbolism: Represents his shadowy, protective nature (black), and his inner intensity and loyalty (dark red).

Flowey: "Golly! Those are quite fascinating. Those hearts you see, are your souls. The representation of your being."

Flowey played a mischeavous expression, while white pellets started appearing behind of it and floating while spinning in place.

Flowey: "Now, down here, love is shared through this white friendliness pellets. It will help you get out more easier, even if you're in a group, it will still help a lot in getting out."

Flowey's expression changed to a half serious and mocking one.

Flowey: "You want love, right? Everyone wants love, after all. But don't worry, I have much love to share with you all, more than enough."

Then, more white pellets appeares, floating behind Flowey, and spinning in place.

Velthara's sharp eyes narrowed as she observed Flowey's sudden change in tone.

Velthara: "Love, you say? That sounds... almost too generous. But why does it feel like you're hiding something, little flower?"

Kaeltherion stepped slightly ahead, his blue and silver heart glowing faintly, his voice calm and analytical.

Kaeltherion: "Your 'friendliness pellets'... They seem rather unnatural. Care to explain why they radiate energy so similar to hostility?"

Flowey's mischievous grin widened, his petals twitching as he chuckled darkly.

Flowey: "Oh, my! Such suspicion! But don't worry, you'll find out soon enough. Go ahead, give it a try. There's no harm in catching just one... right?"

Lymtherion clenched his fists, his fiery orange heart flaring briefly.

Lymtherion: "I don't like this... It feels like a trap."

Zalthirion tilted his head, curiosity gleaming in his green and cyan heart.

Zalthirion: "Or maybe it's a test. Either way, we're all here together. Let's see where this leads."

The white pellets floated lazily toward the group, shimmering faintly as if enticing them to touch. Valtheris, standing slightly at the back, crossed his arms, his black and dark red heart pulsing ominously.

Valtheris: "Let them come closer. We'll find out exactly what this flower's love truly means."

The room's atmosphere grew heavier as the children exchanged glances, their hearts glowing faintly in response to the approaching pellets. Flowey's expression remained delightfully cryptic, his eyes darting between the siblings, savoring their reactions.

Short after, the pellets did hit them all, instantly taking them all down, weakening them, but not killing them. They all feel almost dying with severe deep injuries, and yet, they all seem perfectly fine, but their souls are completely cracked, in the line of breaking and shattering.

Flowey: "You, IDIOTS!! Do you really think you can fall down, and go through freely?! You are free souls, and with seven of you, is a gift for me to become GOD!! And then with my newfound powers! Monsters. Humans.. EVERYONE!! I'LL SHOW THEM ALL THE TRUE MEAN OF THIS WORLD... After all, It's kill or be killed.."

Then circles of white pellets appeared around them all, and Flowey's face went to a demonic one while started laughing mischievously, while slowly, the white pellets moved closer and closer.

Suddenly, a fire flame started fading to appear at the left side of Flowey, and then moved to hit it, instantly making Flowey get thrown away, dissappearing. The white pellets instantly dissappeared along Flowey, and everything went back to normal. The almost absolute dask room with the green circle in the middle, instead of that black box with white outlines.

Then, a shadow appeared to move closer to them, and a female motherly voice was heard.

???: "Such terrible creature, hurting such innocent ones. Are you all alright my children?"
