Chapter 27 - Chapter 26: Gaps In Judgement

A Week Later:

Pov: Sado

The coldness of space. It was a feeling I've grown used to. The emptiness, the solitude, it was oddly comforting. Bardock's group. Leeks said they were strong, but I don't know anything about them.

Beep

Beep

Chaotic beeping rings out of my pod as I glance out of the window, seeing five pods fly next to me, followed by a transmission request. Without much thought, I reach to my right, clicking onto a red button, releasing a gentle chime.

" Hello? Your Sado, right? I'm Fasha. " A woman's voice?

" Correct. I'm Sado. Nice to meet you. " I responded, leaning back in my seat, sinking deep into the cushion as Fasha spoke.

" I wasn't expecting manners. Your thought to-

" Heh. Enough Fasha. Leeks said you received information about this planet? " Suddenly, a rough voice shot out, interrupting Fasha. Asking me a question.

" The planet is a desert with little to no water, and the inhabitants aren't strong. Their power levels range from one to two hundred. They only have one massive city. It should take us less than a day, although transforming into an oozaru is forbidden. The planet can't be too damaged. " I respond. The man's voice grew silent, before abruptly another man's voice shot out.

" I bet it's the heeters, Bardock. "

" Probably. " Responded Bardock, his voice filled with annoyance, I didn't say anything though, not like I cared to. We were quickly heading towards the planet, arriving in less than an hour.

I closed my eyes, trying to sleep, until Fasha spoke, asking me another question.

" Do we know their abilities? "

" Something with fire. Nothing to worry about. "

...

...

After that. Nothing but silence, until finally, a massive red planet appeared in my window, and I felt my pod fall towards it. Falling into the planet's atmosphere before roughly crashing into the ground, creating a crater, I raise my hand, clicking a button, and latch open my pod.

Bright sunlight pours into my pod as I leap out, walking out of the crater, while five more pods crash into the ground, scattering red sand up into the air. I watch as five saiyans walk out of the crater facing me.

Until a woman walks up to me smiling.

" Hello. I'm Fasha. " I shake her hand before the four others walk towards me. I glance at each of them before the one I could only assume to be Bardock speaks.

" Leeks said good things about you. Don't disappoint. "

I nodded in response, not bothering to speak. The steaming red sand underneath us burned our boots as we walked silently, approaching a nearby city, made from crude stone bricks, with an outline of wooden beams.

The inhabitants of the Planets were short with thick black hair similar to mine, but less spiky. Their skin was brown, tanned like leather from the intense sun. They walked the streets until they paused, staring at us.

The woolly turbans they wore dangled from their heads, and yet I could watch as their eyes widened in horror, but before they could even react, a green blast shot out of Tora's palm, slaughtering the group in front of us in a fiery explosion.

Familiar screams rang out as their bodies scattered out, crashing into nearby stone buildings, being covered by the smoke rising into the air.

" Let's separate. Each of us takes a section of the city. It'll be quicker. When you finish, fire a ki blast into the air. " I said, my aura spiking, as I flew into the air, watching the inhabitants sprinting through the streets, running from us, even trampling over children trying to escape. A burning sensation spread across my palm before I fired a blast, blowing up a nearby building.

The horrified screams softened, replaced by the sound of crackling fire, the blast catching some of the wooden beams on fire. Without another thought, I dashed through the village, rapidly firing blasts at anything moving.

Countless explosions rang out, as the screams went softer and softer. Until finally, I walked into a half-destroyed building, partially blown up, with four inhabitants glaring at me. A skinny man stood in front of me, guarding two children and an elderly man too weak to stand.

" L-Leave us alone! " He begged out, waving his right hand. His legs trembled as I walked closer to him, stepping onto cracked stone tile. My palm raised, and sweat instantly poured down the man's face. Instead of fighting, he clutched his hands together, closing his eyes.

" Likirt. Please bestow my family a blessing in heaven. " As soon as the man said this, his body trembled slightly less, and he gingerly opened his eyes, speaking.

" D-Do you believe in God? "

" There are gods. However, if you mean God as an omnipotent being. I don't think so. " I respond, Azrion was trapped in a dimension. A god that can't control his destiny can't be considered a God.

The man just smirks at me before speaking. " We believe that fire is the start of life. We're a peaceful planet. Trying to convince others of what we believe. I understand that you won't spare me. The bloodlust drenching your eyes makes that obvious. " The man's breath faltered, shaking as he spoke again.

" However. You seem more reasonable. Can you please spare the ones behind me? " My eyes shift from his, looking down at the elderly man staring at me with horror in his eyes, while the children stare at me, unsure of what's happening.

My hand lowers slightly until the sight of a green Ki blast shoots into the air, making both of us look into the sky. Tora must have finished his side of the city.

...

The sound of crackling fire is the only thing separating me and the man, his eyes staring at me filled with worry, until they shift to horror as a yellow blast forms in my hand. I watch as he swallows his spit.

His body crouched lower to the ground, blocking the children's vision. As pupils focused entirely on the blast.

Damn it. Not again. I take a deep breath before I point my palm towards the sky, firing a Ki blast into the air.

The man looks at me in shock. " Find a hole, and cover yourself with a dead body. It'll help mask our scouters. " The man quickly nods and spins around, shooing with his hand at his children, telling them to run.

The elderly man looks at me briefly, speaking. " Thank you. " His voice is weak, barely audible over the crackling fire.

I watch as their silhouettes fade away while four more blasts shoot into the sky, leaving me standing in a collapsing building. Staring at the figures sprint away until the sound of boots clicking onto stone tiles rings out, making me turn around, facing Bardock.

He glanced over my shoulder, staring at them running away, until his gaze shifted back towards me. " When I was about to kill one of these locals. He said something to me. "

I tilt my head slightly.

" He said, you always know when something comes to kill you. You feel the bloodlust before you see it." Bardock crossed his arms, asking a question.

" Do you think we can still feel it? "

" No. We're too used to it. It's like air to us. It's tiring. " I responded, making Bardock scoff, as he unfolded his arms, pointing at a mountain over his shoulder with his thumb.

" Fasha moved our pods over there... I don't blame you for sparing them. I couldn't kill some during the conquering of Planet Cereal. It still bothers me to this day. "An odd look appeared on Bardock's face.

I walk towards Bardock, stopping next to him. " I scouted that planet. Deeming it conquerable. If you want to, blame me for the feeling. "

" Tsk, no need, bastard. I can't have you take all the blame. " He said with a grin on his face, as he flew up into the sky, approaching the pods...
