William walked to the merchant's house and knocked a few times. No one answered at first.
He knocked again. Still nothing.
Someone came out of the forest carrying a deer across his shoulders. An impressive show of strength.
"Looking for Corwin?" the man said.
William had no idea who this Corwin was, but he figured that had to be the merchant.
"The merchant? Yeah, I am. You know where I can find him?"
"Think he's further down the river, trying to teach his kid how to use a sword. Look there," the man said, pointing William in the right direction.
That was probably the hunter brother the bartender had mentioned.
"Thanks for the info," William said, giving him a nod.
Now that he knew where the merchant was, William didn't waste any time going to find him.
He followed the river running past the village, and after walking for about five minutes while taking in the scenery, he spotted the merchant.
