Passing through the portal gave him a strange sensation. It was like his body kept spinning without stop, like some ride at an amusement park, except infinite.
Little time had passed since William entered the portal. Five minutes, maybe? But to him, it felt like an eternity.
Using such a specific portal, one that led so far away, had been harder for him than usual. William wasn't even sure it would work, but he hoped it would. He really needed it to work.
He fell to the ground as soon as he passed through. His sword, the one he had just received along with his class, landed beside him.
Soft grass. A green field stretching out for a great distance.
'I don't remember arriving here on the first day…'
When Elric had first summoned him and the others, William and the rest of the heroes had appeared close to the Temple of Ascendancy, the place where Elric lived and had trained them.
But this didn't look like that place at all. He was in the middle of nowhere.
