Chapter 712: The Earth Supreme's Might, The Fury of Blood-Robe
"Dou Qi Continent… Thunder Emperor Mo Yu?"
As Mo Yu's calm voice echoed across the Ten-Thousand Armament Golden Platform, Elder Blood-Robe's brow twitched slightly.
The Dou Qi Continent—he had never even heard of such a place. Neither the name Mo Yu nor the title Thunder Emperor evoked any recognition in his mind.
As realization settled, the faint uncertainty in his heart quickly vanished. So that was it—he had feared briefly that Mo Yu hailed from some ancient lineage or hidden race, but clearly, this youth was from a backwater realm, devoid of real influence.
A prodigy, yes—but one still far too young. To someone like him, such opponents were merely… slightly troublesome to kill.
As an elder of the Blood God Clan, Blood-Robe had long been seasoned in deceit and cruelty.
"What Dou Qi Continent? Never heard of it," he sneered. "It must be some insignificant lower plane. You may have had the strength to break its shackles and ascend, and I admit that's no small feat—but heed this, boy:
This is the Great Thousand World. This vast realm is not your pitiful, barren land. You may have been a ruler in that forgotten place, but here, you are nothing.
That pompous title of yours, 'Thunder Emperor'? A toy for small people to amuse themselves with. Do not parade it here as though it means anything."
His smirk deepened, sharp and condescending.
Gasps rippled through the crowd. "He comes from a lower plane?"
Whispers spread like wildfire. In the Great Thousand World, one unspoken truth reigned: never underestimate those who ascend from lower realms.
History had proven it time and again. Every being who defied their world's limits to reach the Great Thousand carried a spark of defiant greatness. Some went on to shake eras, mastering entire realms.
And now, Mo Yu's performance only confirmed that belief. So young, yet he had already slain Gongshu Qiu. If he lived long enough, he would surely become a titan of the Great Thousand World.
Mo Yu's lips curved slightly, though his eyes had turned cold. "A small place's self-amusement, is it…"
He chuckled lowly. He does not know… from that same 'small place' walked the Flame Emperor himself, who once shook the Great Thousand to its core.
And today, that small world would be known again—not only for birthing the Flame Emperor, but for raising a second sovereign—the Thunder Emperor.
When Mo Yu did not speak further, Blood-Robe mistook his silence for fear.
"Young one," he said coolly, "you've done well breaking from the lower world. So here's my offer: apologize for your offense, and I'll forgive your insolence. Perhaps I'll even recommend you to join my Blood God Clan. With talent like yours, you'd serve a purpose under our banner.
But if you insist on arrogance—well, then I'll teach you how foolish it is to provoke the Blood God Clan."
He believed he'd already shown grace. A mere ascendant wasn't even worthy of such generosity. Most who rose from below were either brilliant or stupidly proud. The brilliant ones bowed to fate. The stupid ones—too used to lording over lesser worlds—met early deaths for failing to recognize true power.
To Blood-Robe, Mo Yu seemed the latter sort—young, reckless, and drunk on his own legend.
But before he could think further, Mo Yu laughed softly and lifted a single finger—pointing it directly at him.
"Hehe… small place self-amusement? You decrepit old dog," Mo Yu said coldly, his voice crackling like distant thunder. "Today, I will show you what the wrath of the Thunder Emperor truly means."
The last four words rumbled out like an oath of destruction. Power vibrated through every syllable.
The audience's faces froze in shock.
Even Blood-Robe's expression darkened instantly, hatred burning in his gaze. It had been countless years since anyone dared mock him to his face.
But before his fury could erupt, lightning did.
Roar!
From Mo Yu's body exploded a tide of energy so vast it shook the sky. The force of his spiritual power matched—and perhaps exceeded—that of Blood-Robe himself.
"What power is this…?" Blood-Robe's eyes widened as a deafening roar filled the heavens.
Boom! Boom!
Dark clouds gathered, thick and endless, swirling above the golden arena. The spiritual energy of heaven and earth turned violent and wild. Even the blood tide beneath Blood-Robe's feet faltered—rippling backward slightly under the pressure.
Bolts of lightning crashed down like divine spears, swallowing the sky.
And amidst that sea of thunder, Mo Yu hovered in the air. His silver eyes gleamed with divine light; his aura boundless, his silhouette majestic—like a deity descending to judge the world.
The golden platform trembled beneath the weight of the heavens. Thunderlight erupted around him, merging with the silvery radiance that poured from his form until he stood as a being forged of lightning itself.
He was no longer man—but Throne and Storm incarnate.
"Such power! This Mo Yu… he's an Earth Supreme!"
Cries of disbelief rose throughout the crowd.
"An Earth Supreme? At his age? Impossible!"
"It's true! This lightning aura—his command of the heavens—this is the power of a true sovereign!"
"No wonder they call him Thunder Emperor! He's not just strong—he is thunder made flesh!"
"Soon the entire Great Thousand World will know his name! Mark my words—today's battle will echo across the realms!"
All around, awe and worship spread through the masses.
Even the Yuchang Family's elders gaped, trembling.
"An Earth Supreme… Our Supreme Elder is an Earth Supreme!" gasped one elder. "Our family is saved!"
Yuchang Yuan's heart pounded as he looked up, overwhelmed with relief and pride. He had risked everything to stand by Mo Yu—and now that gamble was beyond justified.
He had allied with a true monarch of the world.
Meanwhile, among the Gongshu, terror replaced arrogance. Gongshu Ziran's face turned ghostly pale.
Her knees weakened. The man who had slain her father was not merely strong—he stood among the rulers of creation itself. Her hatred remained, but her will crumbled before pure despair.
Across the sky, Blood-Robe's expression darkened even further. His calm mask cracked, his gaze cutting like knives toward Blood Cloud.
"Did you not say he was merely a half-step Earth Supreme?!"
Blood Cloud winced. "Elder, I… I was mistaken! His aura was far too concealed—I never imagined he was a true Earth Supreme!"
Blood-Robe spat out a cold laugh—a mix of fury and disbelief. "A true Earth Supreme… hiding his strength to toy with us? So that's your game?"
He glared at Mo Yu, his expression sharp as a blade.
But Mo Yu's eyes glinted, their silver light pulsing alongside the rolling thunder. "Hide my strength?" he answered disdainfully. "No—your senses are just too dull. Your little subordinate simply lacked the strength to perceive a true emperor."
"You—!"
Blood-Robe's jaw tightened, though he suppressed his fury. The oppressive force from Mo Yu's aura was undeniable. Matching an Earth Supreme, even as an Elder, risked consequences his clan didn't need.
He exhaled slowly and forced his tone calm. "Enough. This was all a misunderstanding. Now that it's cleared, I'll take my leave. I've no wish to linger on petty matters."
He turned, ready to depart.
But Mo Yu's voice stopped him cold.
"Leaving so soon, Elder Blood-Robe?" Mo Yu said lightly. "We still have a matter unsettled."
Blood-Robe froze midair, his brow furrowing. "What do you mean?"
Mo Yu smiled faintly. "That insult of yours. 'A childish title from a self-amused small world,' wasn't it?" His eyes narrowed. "That remark displeased me."
"Are you serious?" Blood-Robe's voice dropped dangerously low. "What are you asking for then? An apology?"
"Heh. No need for that," Mo Yu said calmly, shaking his head.
The elder almost relaxed—until Mo Yu's next words thundered through the air.
"Instead," Mo Yu said, his tone sharp with command, "why don't you do something simpler? Kneel… and address me properly. Call me Lord Thunder Emperor."
The world went silent. Not even the wind dared whisper.
All eyes widened in disbelief.
Blood-Robe's expression twisted into one of pure wrath. His teeth ground audibly as his voice hissed out, cold and quaking with fury.
"You damned brat…" he growled. "You're courting death!"
