But his opponent, far from defeated, slowly got back on his feet, brushing off his twisted limbs with an eerie calm.

The curse narrowed its many eyes, staring at Ryosuke with growing curiosity. "How… How can a mere human see me… and touch me?" its raspy voice vibrated in the air.

Still gripping the iron bar that had become his weapon, Ryosuke suddenly understood. A smirk appeared on his lips. "Looks like it's your first time encountering a jujutsu sorcerer," he said calmly. "Humans can also wield cursed energy. That's how we can see creatures like you… and touch you."

He raised his bar with steady confidence. "And I'm here to kill you."

A wicked smile stretched across the curse's misplaced mouths. "Fascinating…" it murmured in awe, eyes locked on the aura radiating from Ryosuke.

But Ryosuke didn't let himself get distracted. He leapt forward again, ready to land a decisive blow. However, before he could reach it, a sudden gust of wind slammed into him with unexpected force. He was hurled through several walls, his body tearing through the building like an arrow before crashing into a ruined room.

The curse burst into laughter, its voice echoing through the abandoned hospital. "Go on, entertain me," it growled, a sinister smile on its face. "I want to see how far you can go."

Ryosuke rose slowly, brushing the dust from his clothes. He smiled to himself, murmuring under his breath, "Cursed energy really is something… I didn't feel a thing from that impact."

He set his bag down on the ground, slightly puzzled. "Why am I not even winded?" He frowned. According to what he knew from the manga, maintaining cursed energy constantly should have been exhausting. Yet he felt no fatigue.

A mystery for later. For now, he tightened his grip on the iron bar, staring at the curse still standing there, unmoving.

"Let's go again."

Ryosuke charged once more.

As before, a gust of wind surged and threw him back violently. But the next moment, he was already leaping forward again, reappearing behind the curse, faster than ever. This time, he was aiming for a real hit.

Suddenly, another gust caught him and slammed him into the ceiling, breaking through the slab and sending him straight up to the fourth floor. Dust swirled around him, and cracks spread across the floor from the impact. Yet when the curse appeared in the breach, it was unharmed.

Ryosuke, also unscathed, darted in from the side, faster than a shadow, surprising the creature with his speed. He struck with all his might using the metal bar, but at the last second, an invisible wind barrier blocked the attack.

The shockwave sent Ryosuke flying back once more, smashing through walls again.

He stood up yet again.

"Let's see who gives out first, shall we?" he shouted with a crooked grin.

Ryosuke rushed the curse once more, his iron bar still tightly in hand. His movements were faster, more precise, each strike targeting a different point of the invisible barrier separating him from the creature.

The sound of his footsteps echoed through the hospital's decaying hallways, joined by the crash of his relentless attacks. But despite his efforts, his weapon kept striking the same obstacle: that invisible shield, made of gusts of wind the curse controlled with disturbing ease.

The monster, unfazed, watched Ryosuke with growing interest, a glint of malice in its many eyes. Its twisted mouths curled into a smile that would chill anyone's blood.

"Incredible…" it said, its rough voice echoing through the ruins. "A human who can hold out against me this long…" It broke into laughter, its many mouths creating a terrifying echo. "Don't disappoint me—don't die too quickly!"

Suddenly, without warning, the curse raised its twisted arms. Blades of wind shot out from its body like invisible knives, slicing through everything in their path. The hospital's walls and ceilings were torn apart, debris flying in all directions under the force of the attack.

The floor beneath Ryosuke gave way, and the entire level collapsed under the intensity of the windstorm.

Caught in the tempest, Ryosuke just barely managed to block one of the blades with his iron bar, but the impact was so strong it launched him across the room, his body crashing through several walls before landing in a pile of rubble.

Now outside the crumbling building, the curse peered down at the wreckage. Its many eyes scanned the debris, searching for any sign of life.

A twisted grin spread across its faces. "Where did you go, human?" it shouted, its voices overlapping in the air. "Did you survive that, or was that all you had to offer?"

For a moment, silence stretched heavy and oppressive. Then, suddenly, a scream of pain shattered the stillness. The curse turned its head to see a block of concrete slowly being lifted from the rubble.

Beneath it, Ryosuke appeared, muscles tense as he pushed himself free. His face was streaked with sweat and blood, and his clothes hung in tatters, revealing deep gashes across his body.

He rose slowly, glancing down at his state. He wiped the blood from his forehead with the back of his hand and sighed—more out of fatigue than despair.

"I definitely felt that one…" he muttered, his voice hoarse and low. He took a deep breath, surveying the ruins around him. "Without cursed energy, I'd be in serious trouble…" He winced, placing a hand on his side where one of the wind blades had left a long cut. "Maybe even dead."

He paused, lips curling into an unexpected smile. Despite the pain surging through his body, he looked… exhilarated. A quiet laugh escaped him, almost nervous, as if he'd just realized something new.

"So this is it…" he whispered to himself, eyes wide with surprise. "This is the thrill of a shonen fight…"

The curse, standing amid the ruins, looked at Ryosuke with growing interest. Its distorted mouths once again formed that sinister grin, as if it relished the chaos.

"You're still alive?" it said, a strange gleam in its eyes. "Perfect. You're turning out to be a more interesting opponent than I thought. I hope you're ready… because the real fight is only just beginning."
