Chapter 327 - The Citadel Of Justice

It was huge, taller than the already enormous 50 meter tall wall. Sleek black, and and deep blue with hints of white walls. It was made of simple shapes and harsh lines. Entire sections utterly flat without accessory. The first part was square and parallel, and then almost like blocks stacked horizontally back, with other squares built on top of those, with rounded glass sections in front of them as a final rectangular section on top.

The middle was similar but with a trapezoid shaped section a top a larger square where dozens of windows slit across its surface as in the direct middle of the middle, was the eight point cross in a circle shape of the World Government. By the Direction of the Dusk sun, there were no large shadows casted by the immense Structure.

The only thing left to enter was the final wall at the far end that connected to the building. Its name was 'The Exalt'. This building was the Main Building. Its where most of the CPA did their duties, and even housed many. From analysis to Security. It was even where CPA agents were trained

Between the final two tall thin structures at the two parallel towers, laid the first sight of the Citadel itself.

The Large metal doors that sat below indented into the Exalt was the only way to the Citadel. Two cameras that did not look like the Den Den Snails that would normally be suctioned against the wall. No, in their place were machines. White and blue square things with a lens at the end that fed the video footage into the exalt near the middle of the structure to a group of CPA-2 and 3 Agents along with Marines who oversaw all the Cameras on the Judicial Island.

While the Concept of Cameras had been around for a long time, since it was discovered that Den Den had a peculiar ability to emit light, and thus through complex color organic structures in their Eyes, a projection. But it has always been hard to Take Pictures. The best people could do was through Flash photography, but the images were poor, though the minute a few electrodes were connected to a Den Den, they began to emit brain waves that recalled those images stored, and to a rudimentary computer that could print the simple data onto paper.

Den Den Photography and Analog cameras have been in a race ever since. Den Dens weren't easy to break, but Cameras could do distance shots, and had things that Den Dens didn't. But in the last 50 Years, with the help of Tehertz, Den Dens have become nearly invisible when it comes to Communications and the government.

Such as the Exalt itself, it had phone lines connected to emergency Den Den connected to a Radio Tower, where using basic machines could be switched between to speak to other Den Den. But primarily used electrical signals through wires to transmit noise. Typically via Rotary, while a switchboard in the Exalt was constantly maned by CPA-2 Agents

The race of Technology had moved from Nature to that made by man. Even as far back as Rogers hay day had this shift been going on. But if you didn't have the resources to man that technology. It was useless.

"Fonisa." Leery said of the two gigantic doors that by using complex gears and piston that pulled them into the walls. The gate itself Nearly over 20 feet thick. Structures like a bank vault seen on the right side of the gate as it opened. The logo of the world government in smaller form on it and just above it.

"Yes?" Fonias Stopped in his tracks and looked at the Director "Stay behind, keep an eye on the Gate Control room. Even if they break through the gate, they'd need to raise the bridge."

"Sir." Fonias Nodded as he Headed over to one of the Pale white doors and rushing to the Control Room

There was a wide dark gray and white bridge that began to raise from just above the waves 150 feet down. Connecting to the Citadel

It was just as Intimidating as the Exalt. But taller and slimmer. It was like it was scraping the sky itself. It rested on its own miniature island structure, starting at the bottom with geometric shapes of trapezoids on top of angular other shapes only to extend up into a straight tower before flaring out the walls half way up

After the Midway point, in large simple letters the words 'CITADEL' and a gigantic World Government logo above it. Many slits for windows with balconies come out of them.

This was the Main Judicial building. Everything from trials, to investigations, and all in between for Judicial purposes through the entire world government went through this building. It had specialty rooms for CPA 9, as they are supposed to be separated from the rest of the pools of CPA to continue ambiguity.

The Doors at the Other end of the bridge opened. The group walked into a large lobby that now had agents and marines scouring the ground, and readying themselves. Dark Blue and White tiles across the ground with hallways that lead to stairways to the next floors, where entire empty sections sat before entering into the rooms by the walls.

"Sir!" An Agent ran up to Hugo and Leery, giving a small bow. "The Judge is not yet ready for the Trial. He's paranoid for his safety and is rushing to get Docket ready."

"Tell him to hurry up then." Hugo spoke. Dismissing the Agent. They needed this done by the books. A bunch of Pirates after them won't stop the bureaucracy of the World Government and piles of paperwork to make it official. They were in more than comfortable position to do so.

"In the meantime. Let's head to my office. And gather the other CPA 9 Members. There's a few things we need to discuss. I'm sure those Pirates won't make it this far."
