Chapter 276 - Dice

"GUM GUM! SHOT!"

Leroy slammed his fist into the glassy material! It felt like punching thick ultra smooth glass!

The Punch reverberated with such enormous and staggering force that the recoil from it shook the ground so harshly that the gambler could feel her legs begin to shake!

Slam! Slam! Slam! Leroys teeth were like wolves, a ferocious look on his face! So much power was being slung that it would surely be enough to utterly eviscerate an entire town, reducing it to rubble!! It was like bombs were in his fist!

"Hah…Huff…Huff." Leroy puffed, his chest heaving

"It doesn't matter what you do. I don't even think the Strongest Man in the World could get through my Barriers." The voice was distant, but it caused Leroy to snap around! His rage focused on a new target!

Zipping across the Terrain the House came back into view! In an instant he flew through the door, and spotted the Gambler with another dome around her and a Table!

Leroy's Fist Slammed into it just like he did before! The Wind cracked and reverberated with such an awesome torrent of air that the House around the two was reduced to scraps of wood! An Explosion of timber flying!

"Now was that neces-" Before She could continue, She was interrupted by Leroy fury

"WHAT DID YOU DO!?" His fist slammed into the Dome. Eyes piercing into the Womans with a conviction that caused her to buckle at the sight!

Her heart skipped a beat as she tried to keep her composure "They are alive. Just on different parts of the Archipelago."

"Prove it." His eyes were that same steely rage. His brow fiercely determined as he watched the woman reach over and pick up a Den Den Mushi. The Eyes of the Snail telescoping out as it woke up. Wiring and devices in its shell. It was strange in that it had multiple irises.

With a push on the back of the Shell, the eyes lit up, a signal being transmitted and received, before displaying the Neural input through its eyes like a projector.

Three screens were displayed. Showing similar flat terrains.

What was shown let Leroys heart be put at ease.

On the First Display was Raven. Who seemed to Be alone. Another held Jeanne, Kirk, and Dezzi. And the Third and Final one held Noir and Kále.

"What do you want." Leroy said, his hands slackening.

"All I want?" She inquired "I just want to play a Game! Only stipulation is that, if you lose. Theres no way that your Crew is getting out even if they win."

"Yeah? And how do I know that you'll even play fair. Or you'll keep your word."

"We can play as long as you'd like, and you certainly won't know if I'm cheating. But I can ensure that I am a woman of my word."

As she spoke, she lifted her fingers and brought them closer to herself. In tandem, the Yellow Barrier retracted, almost like a bubble, shaping over a Chair and part of the table.

Leroy took a seat. The Yellow bubble flowing over him.

It was a strange sensation. It was like it was only mere micrometers from making contact with him before sealing against the floor.

"I guess its lucky that you can display that light onto your, Barrier?"

"Indeed it is." She placed another Den Den, this one a transmitter. Recording the two.

It could be seen on the Displays, that each of the crew looked off to their sides. A look of relief coming over them as they saw that their Captain was safe.

"Alright. What's the Game." Leroy's eyes looked back to the Gambler.

"A Game that every Pirate Plays."

"Liars Dice."

Leroy's eyes steadied themselves. He'd heard of Liars Dice. One of the most popular games in the world.

With a Snap of the Womans fingers. Two cups appeared and Slammed into the Table!

At the Same time, on the Displays it could be seen that each of the crew members' attention was snapped ahead of them. Their own opponents appeared in tandem out of thin air!

"Shall we begin?"

This game of Liars Dice will be about Deception. Information. The Thrill of Gambling at the Cost of Other Peoples lives. While they too play their own game of some kind. Truths. Information. Lies. Lives. Not Just Money. Or Perhaps none at all shall be wagered.

The Gambler wanted one thing.

Thrill.

And when you put something non physical on the line. It makes it all the more interesting…
