Chapter 275 - The House

The Twos focus was snapped back to the Captain. Who was now surrounded by the rest of the Crew, Hands cupped around his mouth as he shouted loudly.

"C'mon on! ! !"

"We're Comin'! Jeez!" Kirk snapped back with a tinge of playful annoyance.

The Crew travelled up a small bump in the terrain. Compared to the rest of the near total flat terrain, it could only be described as a hill. As they were a top the minor elevation, they were to be met with the same barren fields as they had just saw, except for only a small building that sat far into what seemed like the middle of the island.

"Look at that." Dezzi said with a point.

"Is it a house?" Leroy asked. Jeanne pulling out a spyglass and peaking through the lens.

The Building was small. Could maybe only fit a few people comfortably. From the looks it only had a few rooms that came out of the sides of the wood. The Entire building was constructed of Thatch and planks with foundations made of stone.

"It looks, empty?" She questioned as she passed the Glass to Leroy.

"Yeah. And a bit old. But, it also looks like it was only recently made. The grass around it is the same length like it hasn't been given time to die underneath. I- Think any way."

He handed it back. "Should we head down?"

"Might as well."

Making their way down the Hill, the Building came closer into view. The Mast of the Palm still visible even from this distance.

"Man. It Really does look aban-" Before Leroy Could finish Speaking, another voice broke the air, the door of the shack opening up, light not coming from within.

"Abandoned? No! Not at all!" The Voice was feminine, High pitched with a subtle bass to it.

Standing on the Doorframe was a woman with crossed arms, a handful of five Dice in her hand, fingers rolling them between.

"It's been so long since we've had players in our little game." Her hair was a starkly bright platinum blonde. Hair swept over and hanging largely off one side will the rest of her hair was faded into a buzz on the other.

A bright pale powder blue double breasted blazer adorned her torso, the collar deep enough that it exposed the bare skin and ample cleavage from within. Having chosen not to wear an undershirt. The Blazer was detailed with stark black silk inside the coat, with bright orange leaves at the ends of the fabric.

Her Slacks were similar with a deeper color of blue that lacked a design.

"Game?" Kále asked with a suspicious frown. The Woman's eyes shifted from the Swordsman to the Chef.

"Yes. It is quite Simple. Guess the total value of the showing numbers on the Dice within my hand. And if you guess correctly! Call my bluff. You can leave. If not…Well."

"You'll See…" Her hair hung forward as she gave a sinister grin.

As the Crew were beginning to only just understand, the woman continued to talk

"I bet four two's." She didn't even move her hand as she looked to the dice faces

The Crew all looked at each other. Trying to discern what to do as Leroy looked at the woman. Trying to deduce what was going to happen. This woman had a sense of malice to her. No matter what they did. He felt that they were going to have to Play this game…

For almost a minute some of the crew's air hitch in their throats. Hands gripping around swords, hands ready to blossom. Electricity ready to pulse.

"Ler-" Kirk began, but before he could finish. Leroy spouted

"You're bluffing." His look was steely. Confident. But the woman had even more.

"Am I?" In a blink of an eye, She tossed the dice forward, clattering across the grass and landing without ever changing their orientation from her hand.

Four twos, One five, and One One.

Without a sound! Harshly, and abruptly! The Red Sash Pirates that surrounded Leroy, Disappeared! Leaving the Captain utterly alone face to face with The Gambler!

Leroy's vision seemed to move Almost in slow motion as he looked to his side where the Markswoman and Doctor was standing mere moments before. His eyes widened looking back to the Gambler.

A frown crunched across his face! Sheer, total anger! A seething rage coming over him!

"WHAT DID YOU DO?!" He screamed so loud that is words vibrated the ground beneath him. His eyes shooting up as he'd almost missed it

Up above the Sky had a pale translucent yellow hue, spreading around like a dome

Red Sashes head whirled around with teeth barred as he sped away back to the Horizons Palm in the Blink of an eye! No, even faster than that! Utterly leaving the dry ground cracked as he took off!

But by the time he crossed the flat terrain, and was met with the sight of the Yellow Dome!

"GUM GUM! SHOT!"

Leroy slammed his fist into the glassy material! It felt like punching thick ultra smooth glass!

The Punch reverberated with such enormous and staggering force that the recoil from it shook the ground so harshly that the gambler could feel her legs begin to shake!
