ASOIAF: Whispers of the Wind

What happens when you die, do you go to heaven, do you go to hell, do you turn to nothing, do you become one with an almighty god, are you perhaps reborn? Ariwyn, having lived three lives in full, now sitting on his deathbed knows well of happens after you die... First, a life as an officer turned general in which he led and commanded a war unlike any other in all of history for his nation. Notably being the last human commander in history, before all was replaced by machine. He lived and loved to 150 in that life. Then in the second, he was an artist and traveler of space truely a mere footnote in a giant alien federation of the stars... Until he seduced and married the daughter off one of earths leading autocrats, gained influce and was elected leader of the humans the post he served for 30 years, then he retired had kids and lived life to the fullest. In that life he lived to nearly 300 before his brain gave out on him and he lost will to continue on in a decaying body. Then in the third he was back on earth, now in a not so distant past compared too the very distant future. He was the son of a low ranking noble in Persia, born not long before invasion of the Arabs. He retreated to China with the rest of his family and much of the other nobility of what had once been Persia. There he learned as much as he could, from language to philosophy. Then he traveled China and the surrounding areas, building connections with the rich and affluential, the wise, and the strong. Then with an army at his back he returned to his fellow persians fashioning himself as something of Zoroaster reborn. He then reconquered Persia and became a god-king. He managed to squeeze a good 70 years out of that life and filled with melancholy he wondered where and when he would be born again. Little did Azar know this time it would be different. Instead of Earth, he would be reborn in a world of Ice and Fire, but not the one he vaguely rembered. This was the world 8,000 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen, a time in which the world had only just exited from the long night, a time in which men were still conquering and carving kingdoms anew. The age of heros... But this is not Ariwyn's story. This is the story of his proginy and his effect upon this world of Ice and Fire.
