"A tree? What tree? It's a newcomer. Good, another prey!"
The mutant leading the convoy, Fireman, glanced at the endless sand and towering pyramids around them, then at George who stood in their way, a sneer creeping across his face.
Many who entered the Void Land believed themselves to be the protagonist, but reality quickly proved them wrong. In this place, there was only one true protagonist—
The ruler of Void Land: Cassandra.
"If I say there's a tree, then there will be a tree."
George gently stomped his foot. In an instant, the desert wind vanished, replaced by lush grass beneath their feet. Rows of tall trees sprang up on either side of the convoy.
"Leave my school's teacher and his friends, and I'll consider letting you go."
"How amusing. You think you're the only one with powers?"
Fireman turned to the man crouched on the hood of a car and barked,
"Toad, take care of him!"
Toad opened his mouth wide, and his long tongue shot out like lightning toward George, aiming to bind his body.
But his tongue was nowhere near as fast as magic. The moment it lashed out, a flash of blue light struck him squarely.
And it didn't stop with Toad—the blue lightning ricocheted through the convoy, hitting the majority of the group.
Everyone struck by the light instantly froze, their bodies paralyzed.
They had all been hit by George's Full-Body Binding Curse – Lightning Chain Version.
These people came from various timelines across the Marvel multiverse. Each of them could act as a spatial coordinate, which meant they couldn't be killed casually.
"Looks like someone strong has arrived. Cassandra will definitely reward me for this."
Fireman's eyes lit up. He pulled out a lighter from his pocket, igniting it. The flame surged into the shape of a dragon, which lunged at George.
"Showing off before the master."
George opened his mouth and instantly inhaled the fire dragon completely.
"Here—have it back!"
A glowing magic circle appeared. From it emerged a new dragon composed of tricolored flames, blasting toward Fireman.
Fireman smirked coldly.
"Hmph. No flame can harm me!"
He was surprised that George could eat fire, but to attack him with fire? That was laughable—like Human Torch's stupidity all over again.
Just now, he'd rendered Human Torch's flames completely useless with his flame-controlling ability.
The same trick again? He would simply control this tricolored dragon and turn it back against George.
"Wait… why isn't it working?!"
But in the very next second, his expression changed.
No matter how hard he tried to use his powers, the tricolored flame dragon remained unaffected—his abilities seemingly useless.
"Ahhh!"
A painful scream tore through the air as the dragon engulfed him. However, the flames didn't kill him—they only burned away all his magical power and clothes, leaving him humiliated and powerless.
Seeing their leader defeated, the others raised their weapons to attack George.
But George merely thought of it, and the weapons in their hands stretched into iron rods, wrapping around and binding them instead.
Fireman did indeed have the power to control fire—but George also had mastery over his own magic.
As long as his magical control surpassed Fireman's, Fireman's powers would be useless.
It was like two people with the same ability fighting—the one with better control always won.
At George's current level, the only one in Marvel who might compete with him in flame control would be Surtur the Fire Giant—and only at his peak power.
As for this Fireman? Trash.
"You guys… this pose is awfully passionate."
After reading Fireman's memory and imprisoning the group in his own pocket dimension to track different universes, George arrived at the iron cage holding Deadpool, Wolverine, and Human Torch.
Logan rolled his eyes.
"Principal, quit the jokes already. Just get these damn chains off us."
He and Deadpool were tied face-to-face, pressed so close together that every movement made it feel like they were about to… fence.
"Oh, my little Wolfie. Are you… rejecting me?
Don't forget, we've fought side by side as brothers—true comrades-in-arms. Just thinking of you always gave me a sense of security."
Deadpool flung his head to one side, dislocating his neck, and then twisted it back with a pop.
Once it healed, he turned to George.
"You can control metal? What are you—young Magneto? Or maybe his son?"
"Neither," George replied with a grin, shaking his head. With a wave of his hand, the metal chains binding the three snapped open.
Human Torch got up and thanked George.
"Don't know who you are, but thanks for saving me. Still, we should get out of here ASAP. If Cassandra notices something's wrong, she'll bring her people here, and things'll get nasty."
"Cassandra? You've been talking about this person—who exactly is she, to scare you so much?"
Deadpool leaned in close to Human Torch's face.
Human Torch stiffened.
"Scared? Me? Of that lunatic? She's nothing but a brain-dead freak pumped full of laxatives. Short legs, shady soul."
"Then tell me—what's she good for?" Deadpool asked eagerly.
Human Torch growled,
"She's only good for licking my elegant, icy-hot X and then running far away with her bald head.
Honestly, I don't even care if she skins me alive or crushes me like pulp in a nightmare.
If I could do one last thing before dying, it'd be burning her into ash—
—and pissing on the remains.
Or stuffing Juggernaut's XX down her XX as mouthwash!"
"HAHAHAHA! Babe, you're insane! If I ever meet her, I swear I'll quote that word for word!"
Deadpool clutched his stomach, laughing uncontrollably.
Wolverine just shook his head.
"Steve never cussed a day in his life. Seeing this guy with Steve's face spewing filth—it's kinda disturbing."
"No need to pass the message. That cage has a camera. Looks like it's live-streaming too. Pretty sure Miss Cassandra has seen and heard everything already."
George chuckled and waved at the camera above the cage, which actually turned from Human Torch to focus on him.
Human Torch's legs immediately gave out, and he almost collapsed.
Clearly, he wasn't as bold as he pretended.
"This place isn't safe. I'll take you to the resistance base—it's more secure there.
Don't worry, everyone there is like me—unwilling to bow to Cassandra."
"Alright. Let's go check it out first."
George saw Wolverine glance his way and nodded, smiling as he followed.
His reason for coming here wasn't just to rescue Wolverine, but also to collect more universal coordinates—people from different timelines and dimensions.
The resistance base was the perfect next stop.
