Madam Feng then smiled and said,
"Now that you guys are acquaninted, let me show you my little shop."
Though she call it little, it was not liite a all with six floor shop it is.
She turned and led them deeper into the store.
To call it a little shop was a massive understatement—this place was built on six full floors, each one filled with rare and precious items. As they ascended, Rei Lin noticed that the items only grew more extravagant with each level.
Prices started at 100 to 200 million gold coins on the first floor, and increased by another 100 million on every floor after. On just the second floor, Rei Lin saw high-grade pills capable of boosting a Spirit Master's cultivation by an entire rank—though they were useless to him, as he had already surpassed that level. Still, he casually bought one just in case he needed it for someone else.
Soon, they arrived at the top floor.
"This level hosts some of the most valuable treasures I currently have," Madam Feng said, her tone now serious. "There are only three treasures displayed here."
She gestured toward the first of them.
It was a stone platform, and on it sat a pulsating heart like item that seemed still alive.
"Is that… is that a heart?" Yu Tian asked in a baffled voice as he stared at the red, pulsating object placed atop the pedestal. Its surface throbbed rhythmically, like it was still alive.
"It's still beating, too!" Yu Rou exclaimed, her eyes wide with disbelief.
"Although it looks like a heart, and even beats like one, it is in fact a Monster Core—one that once belonged to a terrifying demonic beast at the Spirit Grandmaster realm," Madam Feng explained with a calm but proud expression.
"A Monster Core?! That beating thing?!" Yu Tian's jaw dropped. Although he had seen plenty of monster cores before, this was unlike anything he'd encountered. While he wouldn't normally hesitate to absorb or refine a core, this one looked so organic and grotesque, it might even give him pause.
"The beast this core came from was a special existence," Madam Feng continued. "It had demonic blood running through its veins. That's why its core looks so… unusual."
"Demonic blood?" Yu Tian asked. "What's the difference between a demon and a magical beast?"
"Demons are powerful and terrifying entities that resemble humans in shape but are neither human nor beast. They are born from chaos—bloodthirsty creatures of unknown origin. No one knows how they came into existence, only that they are feared across all realms," Madam Feng replied.
"I see…" Yu Tian nodded, his curiosity piqued.
"Of course, you won't find demons in the Lower Heavens. They're too strong to exist here without causing devastation. If one ever did appear here, cities would fall within days."
Then she smiled faintly.
"Let's move on to the next item. Though… I have a feeling someone here may not want to wait."
All eyes turned as Rei Lin stepped forward silently.
"I'll take it," he said, gazing at the beating monster core without flinching.
"You… you're buying it?" Yu Rou asked, startled.
Her reaction was normal—after all, Madam Feng had already stated that she would only exchange such rare items for something of equal value. Still, as she glanced at Rei Lin again, she couldn't help but think just how wealthy he really was now.
"Yes," Rei Lin responded simply, before turning to Madam Feng. "So, what would you like in exchange?"
Madam Feng placed her fingers on her chin and thought for a moment.
"It's a unique core, after all. Something of equal rarity or value would be acceptable."
Rei Lin nodded calmly. Instead of reaching into his visible pouch or the standard player inventory, he accessed his own personal system inventory—one separate from what others could even detect. After a few moments, he took out a crystal-clear jade stone that shimmered with golden runes.
"This is a God Pattern Jade Stone—a Heaven-rank crafting material," Rei Lin said, holding the fist-sized gem with care. "It can be used to craft a peak-Heaven Grade weapon if placed in the hands of an expert blacksmith."
Madam Feng's eyes sparkled slightly as she examined the glowing jade. "This is… indeed a precious material. Very well, I accept the trade," she said with a graceful nod.
Rei Lin handed over the jade stone and received the demonic monster core in return.
The reason he had chosen this item so decisively was because of his Hell-Suppressing Cauldron. This artifact, born of his cultivation technique, was especially effective when refining beings or items associated with hellish energy, demonic qi, ghostly souls, or corrupted essence. With the help of the cauldron, Rei Lin believed he could extract, refine, and even assimilate the purest demonic bloodline locked within the core.
If the demonic essence in it was strong enough, he might even gain a trace of demonic regeneration or a powerful bloodline evolution.
It was, without a doubt, the best item Rei Lin had found so far.
"Alright then, on to the next item," Madam Feng said with a graceful motion of her hand.
The group nodded as they followed her. The next item was a weapon—specifically, a sleek sword resting on a velvet pedestal. It was forged from obsidian-black jade, exuding a faint, chilling aura.
"This sword feels… different," Yu Tian murmured, narrowing his eyes.
Rei Lin glanced at it briefly before saying, "It's most likely a Soul Weapon."
Though he recognized its value, Rei Lin showed no interest.
That's because he already possessed something far superior—a legendary Soul Weapon known as the Infinity Edge. Shi Yun had once obtained it from a random trade, though he never used it much, being more of a specialist in spear arts than Sword arts.
But now that the System and all of Shi Yun's inheritances belonged to Rei Lin, so did the Infinity Edge.
However, Rei Lin had yet to fully bond with it. The sword required him to reach a specific cultivation realm just to awaken its first ability—something he hadn't achieved yet. Until then, it remained sealed within his System Inventory, silently waiting for the day it could be drawn in its true form.
