Chapter 28 - How are you here

Ritsuka looked at Artimes. "So air head, how did you get summon or even been able to Summond by the counter force".

Artimes hupped that nicked name. "When Orion was Being summond by the counter force, I stepped to help Humanity, I used his own summoning to summon me, which then reduces Orion to well this"

Ritsuka just blinked and then grabbed and pulled on her ear like how Big brother will do to there younger sister. "You stupid, don't you understand why Orion was being summoned on the first place, he is a grand Archer you just stopped that, do you released what the means if they counter forces was trying to summon him in the first place".

Artemis yelped as Ritsuka tugged on her ear, her playful demeanor quickly replaced by a look of genuine confusion and guilt. "Ow, ow! Okay, okay, I get it!" she protested, wincing from the pain.

Ritsuka let go of her ear, his expression serious. "Do you realize what you've done? Orion was being summoned as a Grand Archer, one of the highest roles a Servant can take. If the Counter Force was reaching out to him, it means they sensed something massive coming—something that needed his strength."

Artemis rubbed her ear, her cheerful façade momentarily fading. "I... I didn't think it would be that big of a deal. I just wanted to help..." Her voice trailed off, a rare hint of uncertainty crossing her features.

Orion, still sitting on her head, let out a resigned sigh. "Yeah, well, you might have just made things a little more complicated, Artemis. Not that I mind being stuck like this or anything..."

Kadoc crossed his arms, watching the exchange. "So, what you're saying is, we could be in even deeper trouble than we thought?" His tone was sharp, but there was a trace of nervousness behind it.

Ritsuka nodded, his gaze still locked on Artemis. "Exactly. If the Counter Force wanted to summon a Grand, it means we're dealing with a threat that ordinary Servants can't handle. Now that Artemis has stepped in, we're down one Grand."

Mash looked between them, concern evident on her face. "But Artemis is still powerful, right? Can't she fill in for Orion?"

Ritsuka sighed, running a hand through his hair. "She's powerful, yes. But the thing about the Grand Servants is that they're summoned to face threats on a cosmic scale. It's not just about power, it's about the role they play in the grand design. By stepping in, Artemis might have thrown that balance off."

Artemis, clearly feeling guilty, lowered her head. "I... I just wanted to protect humanity too. I didn't think I was causing any harm."

Ritsuka softened a bit, placing a hand on her shoulder. "I know you meant well, Artemis. But next time, think things through before jumping in. We'll have to work with what we've got now."

Kama, watching the whole scene unfold, let out a huff. "Great, so now we have to deal with the consequences of a goddess's impulsiveness. Wonderful."

Orion raised a small paw. "To be fair, Ritsuka, you've handled worse. We'll get through this. I mean, it's not like we can turn back time or anything."

Ritsuka chuckled. "Yeah, you're right. We've faced plenty of impossible odds before." He glanced back at Artemis, who was still looking a bit down. "And we'll deal with this too. We always do."

Kadoc sighed, clearly still processing everything. "So now we're up against some cosmic-level threat, and we're short a Grand. No pressure or anything."

Ritsuka smirked. "Wouldn't be the first time. Come on, let's keep moving. We'll figure this out along the way."

As they started walking again, Artemis hesitated for a moment, then followed closely behind Ritsuka, her usual cheerful attitude slowly returning. Despite the situation, the group had faced worse, and they knew they'd face whatever was coming head-on—together.

David then spoke. "4 if we count Euryale"

Eveyrone then looked at Euryale who was seating on the solder of the Minotaur.

Kadoc then spoke. "Yeah what is your deal anything, the last pirate ship we blowed to high heaven was looking for you".

Euryale scoped and looked at him. "I don't know even either, why who ever they were was after me".

Ritsuka srugged. "What ever it is doesn't matter much to o me, I will just deal with the same way I always don't think just kill or blast".

David raised an eyebrow at Ritsuka's casual response. "Not sure that's the best philosophy, but hey, it's worked so far."

Everyone turned their attention to Euryale, still perched on the Minotaur's shoulder. Kadoc, slightly annoyed, crossed his arms. "Seriously though, why was the last pirate ship we blasted to bits looking for you?"

Euryale sighed dramatically, resting her chin on her hand. "I truly have no idea why they'd be after me. It's not like I'm the only divine being roaming around these parts."

Ritsuka shrugged again, indifferent. "Doesn't matter to me. Whoever they are, I'll deal with them the same way I always do. Don't think, just fight or blast away." He gave a small smirk as if it were the simplest solution in the world.

Kadoc rubbed his temples. "That's such a 'you' answer. I swear, someday we're gonna run into a problem that can't be solved by blasting everything to pieces."

Kama let out a short laugh. "Knowing Ritsuka, he'd find a way to punch his way through it anyway."

Euryale chimed in, her voice smooth and playful. "Well, if it's protection I need, I guess I'm in good hands with you, Dragon God. Do make sure to keep the riffraff away."

The Minotaur rumbled in agreement, his massive form standing ready to defend her at a moment's notice. Despite the chaos, a strange sense of camaraderie hung in the air, even with the odd assortment of gods, heroes, and mythical beings aboard Drake's ship.

Drake, taking it all in stride, grinned widely. "Well, with this lot, I doubt anyone's stupid enough to come after us again. But if they do—" She slammed her fist into her palm with a wicked grin. "—we'll make sure they regret it."

Ritsuka nodded, his eyes already scanning the horizon. "Let them come. I'll take care of whatever comes our way. Just like always."

As the ship sailed forward, the crew braced for whatever might lie ahead. But one thing was for sure—whoever was after Euryale would have to get through the strongest collection of heroes and gods this world had ever seen. And that was no easy task.

Later that night, as David was going to make dinner Ritsuka stopped him

Ritsuka stopped him and spoke. "Let me do it"

Ritsuka then used another spell from overlord. "Greater Itean Creation"

As then the whole table was full with foods of all types, David just blinked releasing his role as the cook was no longer need and that everyone may forget about him

David stared at the grand feast that appeared on the table, his expression frozen somewhere between awe and mild despair. Plates piled high with every kind of food imaginable shimmered in the warm light, the aromas filling the air instantly. For a brief moment, the ship felt less like a battlefield and more like a luxurious banquet hall.

Ritsuka grinned, satisfied with his work. "There we go. Everyone, dig in."

David, however, just blinked, the reality of the situation dawning on him. "So, I guess... I'm out of a job now, huh?" he muttered under his breath, half-joking but a little dejected.

Kama, picking up on his tone, smirked and leaned over, resting her elbow on the table. "Awww, don't worry, David. We'll still need someone to clean up afterward." She teased with a mischievous glint in her eyes, making David groan.

Kadoc, sitting nearby, gave David a sympathetic pat on the shoulder. "Don't take it personally. Ritsuka does this kind of thing all the time. It's not like he's trying to show you up... I think."

David just sighed. "At this rate, everyone's going to forget I was ever the cook."

Ritsuka, overhearing, waved a hand dismissively. "Come on, David. You'll always be the cook. I'm just giving you a break tonight. Besides, I can't do this every day." He flashed a grin. "At least not without a reason."

Artemis and Euryale, who were already seated, eyed the feast with sparkling eyes. Artemis, holding a fork eagerly, exclaimed, "I've never seen anything like this on Earth. Ritsuka, you've really outdone yourself!"

Euryale, nibbling on a piece of fruit, added, "Indeed, it's quite extravagant. Even by divine standards." Her playful tone had an air of approval.

Drake, who had already started helping herself to a drink, raised her glass. "To a night of feasting! Let's enjoy the calm while we can, eh?"

As everyone began to dig into the magical feast, David found a seat, reluctantly accepting that for this night at least, he'd been outdone. But as he looked around at the lively group, laughing and chatting, he couldn't help but smile. Perhaps it wasn't so bad to sit back and let someone else take the reins once in a while.

Even if that someone could conjure up feasts with a single spell.

As everyone was eating, they were shocked on how good the food was, they then looked at Ritsuka who was eating his 17th plate, as they just looked at him.

Artimes looked at him. "I gess once you combined a dragon appetite and gods ora you get will Ritsuka"

Ritsuka then looked at her. "Will we Gods don't need to eat, same goes for all the servant, I eat because I want too, I was once Humans".

This didn't shock anyone, will but Drake, David and the drake crew, as after all before this day they never had meet Ritsuka to them this was something reality questioning life level shit.

Drake put down her mug, her brow furrowed. "Wait, wait, wait—hold on a second. You're saying you were human? And now you're... what? A god? A dragon? Both?"

Ritsuka looked at her calmly, wiping his mouth with a napkin after finishing another bite. "Yeah, it's a bit complicated, but that's pretty much it. I started as a regular human, but things got... more intense along the way."

David, who had just been staring at his plate, mouth slightly open, finally spoke. "More intense? That's... putting it mildly, don't you think? You're casually eating like a dragon, calling yourself a god, and saying it like it's no big deal."

The rest of the crew looked equally dumbfounded. One of the crewmates muttered, "This is some god-level plot twist stuff."

Kama leaned back in her chair, smirking. "You'll get used to it. Ritsuka's story has a way of blowing people's minds. Trust me, after a while, you just roll with it."

Drake crossed her arms, trying to process everything. "I've seen a lot of weird things in my time. Gods, pirates, magic—you name it. But you... this is on a whole different level."

Ritsuka chuckled, looking up at her. "You've been traveling the seas long enough to know that the world—and the multiverse—is full of things that don't fit into neat little boxes."

Artimes, taking a sip of her drink, added with a playful tone, "You'll find that reality bends around Ritsuka here. He's like a walking exception to every rule."

Drake sighed and took a large swig of her drink. "Well, guess it's just another day on the seas... with gods and dragons." She grinned, the tension easing into laughter. "But damn, Ritsuka, you sure know how to keep things interesting."

The crew slowly nodded in agreement, though they still looked a bit shaken. It wasn't every day you found out your newest shipmates included gods and beings who could erase realities. But with the food, laughter, and camaraderie filling the air, they decided to just go with it—for now, at least.

Ritsuka smiled softly. "Well, let's focus on the food for now. Tomorrow might be another crazy day, so let's enjoy tonight."

And with that, the group returned to their feast, their minds still trying to wrap around the sheer magnitude of Ritsuka's existence, but grateful for the rare moment of peace and good company.
