Soulyphoth received the red sphere from Vergil's hands and kept it suspended above her palm. Small white roots emerged between her fingers, carefully wrapping around Lilith's soul without penetrating its structure. Qliphoth watched every movement, prepared to interrupt the procedure if she noticed any change that might harm her.
"I'll access only the memories that are still preserved. I don't need to awaken her consciousness to do that," Soulyphoth explained as a circular formation appeared before her throne. "Since her soul suffered considerable damage, some memories may be incomplete. I'll start with the most recent ones and work backward until I find something related to Mundus."
Vergil nodded and approached the translucent screen that began appearing above the formation. Sylphie remained beside the throne, watching her mistress work.
The first image showed Lilith lying among the ruins of Sparda.
