Vergil followed Sylphie in silence.
The fairy flew a few meters ahead, leaving a gentle trail of pale particles in the white void of Samsara. Qliphoth walked beside him with her arms crossed and her eyes alert, clearly suspicious. After six thousand years wandering through that place, she didn't like the idea that someone had been watching everything in silence without even bothering to show themselves.
"I still think this is suspicious."
Qliphoth spoke without looking at Sylphie. Her tone was dry but controlled. Vergil simply nodded in agreement. He found it strange too, but at this point, there was no use complaining. If the owner of this place wanted to see him, then he would finally get some answers.
Sylphie slowed down and landed in midair as though there were invisible ground beneath her feet.
"We've arrived."
