"Is that all you have, O Sixth Hokage?" Madara said, suddenly sounding rather bored. "How disappointing…"
Sakura slammed her fist against the hard ground in frustration as she leapt to her feet, gritting her teeth in anger. How could she have forgotten Madara's cheat-like gadgets? The Gunbai Uchiwa was just a trinket to him compared to his innate abilities, just an external source of strength… but it still possessed the ability to reflect any and all ninjutsu.
"What if I hit it with wind style, will it still be able to return my attack?" Sakura muttered to herself. "Just like how I hit Temari's iron fan with Gale Palm during the Chūnin Exams…"
If it was made to displace wind, then it could certainly catch wind!
Then again, just because Madara could reflect her ninjutsu back at her, that didn't mean she had to obstinately try ninjutsu after ninjutsu to see which one would stick... she wasn't like Naruto, after all. She had plenty of tools in her arsenal… the only problem was that her opponent had brushed off her best genjutsu like it was nothing, and he was better at her in both taijutsu and kenjutsu.
"Crystal Style: Jade Crystal Hexagonal Pillars Jutsu— Model Xylophone!"
Madara watched on in interest as pink crystals of various lengths and sizes surged out of the ground around Sakura. It did not look like an attack… perhaps the setup for some kind of combo—
"Chidori!"
Sakura dragged her lightning-wreathed hand across the xylophone, and Madara dropped his fan and clapped his hands over his ears as a shrill, piercing scream shook his body down to his very bones. By exciting the piezoelectric crystals with a high-frequency current, Sakura could amplify the sound her jutsu produced, and by weaving her yin chakra into the vibrations…
"Auditory Genjutsu: Crystal Scream Clone!"
In Madara's eyes, Sakura's figure seemed to double, quadruple, octuple, again, and again… he watched as the clones' lips moved, but though he couldn't hear them over the din, his Rinnegan allowed him to interpret her words.
"It's no use, no dōjutsu will help you dispel an audio-based genjutsu," Sakura was saying, seemingly unaffected by her own technique. She must have stuffed her ears with chakra before launching her attack. "You'll have to release it the old-fashioned way... but good luck with that."
This was getting annoying. He had taken her too lightly, and now he had no choice but to—
"SUSANO'O!"
The infernal screeching finally stopped as blue chakra enveloped him, cutting him off from the outside world. The sound clones vanished, and as Madara glanced down at his feet while his Susano'o grew, carrying him ever skywards, he saw that Sakura had been knocked onto her fat posterior beneath him. She had flickered behind him with her sword drawn, seemingly intent on cutting off his head while he was disabled by her genjutsu...
"I'll admit, that was a rather spirited attempt," Madara said coldly. "But in the face of true power, those are nothing more than parlour tricks..."
Now that Madara had shown off his Susano'o, Sakura had no choice but to match him.
Neither Wood nor Crystal Style constructs, nor any other jutsu in her arsenal except perhaps the Lorentz Gun, would put a dent in his invincible Gund*m. There was nothing tougher than chakra in existence, except perhaps Sakura's Cooper's ligaments, which had to be made of something akin to Gundanium alloy to keep them so perky despite their immensity.
"SUSANO'O!"
Sakura's eyes bled bloody tears as pink chakra gushed from her Tenketsu, forming the skeletal base of her Susano'o. It quickly grew in size as tendons and muscles grew between the bones, armour covering the lot, until her Perfect Susano'o was fully formed, complete with its wings and naginata and conical hat, standing proudly at twenty-five metres tall.
…while Madara's blue Susano'o was over ten times that height.
"What am I supposed to do now!?" Sakura said to herself helplessly. "I'm like a toddler going up against a silverback gorilla!"
At the very least, Sakura could count her lucky stars that Madara was no longer an immortal zombie with infinite chakra, or she would have cried if she'd had to face an army of his Shadow Clones, each using Susano'o.
"Help meeee!" Sakura screeched as the blue Susano'o drew its blade. "Sasukeeeeee!"
Unfortunately, Sasuke was still recovering in Konoha after overexerting himself summoning his own Susano'o, so she would have to deal with this all by herself.
Sakura's pink Susano'o drew its naginata from its back to block the enemy's slash, only to be sent flying by the impact. The world turned and turned, the horizon spinning round and round as she hurtled through the air inside her Susano'o, and it was only after a few long, agonising seconds that she finally managed to stabilise herself in midair by splaying the chakra construct's wings.
"I'm gonna be airsick," Sakura groaned.
Meanwhile, the gigantic blue Susano'o had turned its attention towards the depths of the Valley of the End, where the battle between the Leaf and the Stone was still raging. It sheathed its blade, and both it and Madara himself began weaving hand signs, before extending a hand towards the sky...
"Tengai Shinsei."
"Whatever you're doing, I won't let you hurt them!" Sakura shouted. "Ame-no-Uzume-no-Mikoto!"
Blood flowed freely from Sakura's left eye as she activated her Mangekyō Sharingan ability, forcibly drawing the attention of anyone she considered an enemy. At once, the Iwa-nin stopped what they were doing and stared vacantly at Sakura high above them in the sky, leaving the Leaf-nin free to cut them down, thus further turning the tide of war. At the same time, Madara shifted his focus from the valley to her...
… but without warning, the clouds above split as a massive object breached the troposphere.
"You didn't…" Sakura whispered, gazing at the crater-riddled heavenly body in horror. "Who do you think you are, Thanos!?"
Madara had pulled a village-sized meteorite from orbit! It didn't matter that she'd shifted his aim by thirty degrees or so, at this range, that gigantic boulder would obliterate everything for kilometres around, killing everyone even through the valley's protection... and this time, there was no Gaara around to cushion its fall!
Sakura's Susano'o flapped its wings and soared into the sky.
