Chapter 188 - Age Of Holy War (4)

The god-kin, confused, squinted at the elven woman. "No, I give up, all you demons look alike. I'll just cut you up like I did to the dead guy over there… WHAT!!! WHY ISN'T HE DEAD YET!? He's really bad at being a demon worshiper! They're supposed to die."

The Paladin who'd cast the healing spell before losing all her energy, now having recovered some energy thanks to elven aid. She stood, stepped a single foot forward, and started shouting.

"How dare you call us demon worshipers! You're the only demon here! The proof is your missing arm!"

She pointed out a very important fact.

"Holy Strike doesn't do anything to those with a good heart! It blew your arm off, and made you wail out in pathetic agony! You're no kin of the gods, your kind of demons!"

The god-kin's eyes went red with fury once more, lunging for the woman who spoke up. However, a tender, yet powerful hand wrapped around her ankle… With a single swinging motion the god-kin was slammed on her back, creating a small impact crater… She coughed up blood as a result, and started crying.

"I just want to kill you demons! Why won't you just die…"

"I, nor any of my kin, have ever been demons. None of Mother's followers have ever been demons."

A pause in the discussion, allowed for the god-kin to struggle… It was in vain, all of her functions were rapidly shutting down.

"No, you're all demons. You have to be!"

"Even if a demon did revere mother as their own… It wouldn't matter… That would humanize the demon, not demonize everyone else. You have been fed a life of lies, and have committed heinous atrocities against humanity. That is why, you are the one who will die here today… But the most heinous sin you've committed is making mother cry! I'll never forgive you for that!"

The elven woman shoved her quarterstaff through the god-kin's heart, and then removed it, allowing the remaining blood to pour out of the soon to be corpse. It wasn't long before the god-kin was dead.

"Alright, now that she's dead. You all know what to do."

"Yes lady hero!"

The other elves gathered the body of the god-kin, and wrapped it up. It looked like there was a higher reason for doing it… Though no one bothered to ask about it.

The elven hero turned around and addressed the Roble Holy Kingdom's paladins with a warm smile.

"Ah, little brothers and sisters of our holy mother. I'm so glad you're all safe. Allow me to introduce myself. I am one of mother's loveable daughters, and I was one of the 13 heroes that ended the remaining demon gods."

The paladins, seeing such a legendary figure before them, nearly fell back to their knees from the shock. However, before they could, this elf went in and hugged the woman paladin.

"Oh! Little sister, you're so brave to stand up to such an evil woman like her. But, hmm, I bet you'd look cuter if we got all that dirt off you." She recited a short chant. "There, now you're looking good for when that man wakes up, you can do…"

As the elf whispered into the young woman's ear, the woman started squirming, and blushing hard. Seriously any hotter and her armor would have melted off.

"Excuse me, Honorable Hero? But is there any chance we could discuss matters further? With our captain unconscious, I'm responsible for the situation. We have a lot of refugees, our goddess, and not enough supplies to bring them to a home that'll accept them."

"Hmm, that won't be a problem. Mother gave us an oracle before leaving. She said it might be a good idea to bring along a lot of extra provisions. We've got more than enough on us to feed a Tus Nadairian sized army." She then went to nuzzle her cute new little sister, cheek to cheek. Then stopped… "Oh! I supposed you probably don't know how much that actually carries… Well, it's a lot. Even the evil Slane Theocracy can't compare to the immense wealth of provision we can produce. Call it the blessings of nature if you like." She winked.

"Huh… I… I see. In that case, would it be alright to give them a warm meal now? After this situation, I'm sure it'll help ease the worries in their hearts."

Letting go of the young female paladin, this elven hero smirked, walked closer to the other paladin, and gave him an awkwardly long kiss.

"You're a good person. Mother is definitely proud of you. Though I can't give you the same reward she would, so you'll just have to settle for that little kiss, alright little brother?"

"Huh, uh, what, uh, yeah, okay, that's good… Let's go and make the refugees some hot food!"

The paladin turned into a robot with his embarrassment, as he walked back.

"So soft!"

He then sprinted off, while others laughed.

"Awe, he's cute. Embarrassed over a little thing like a kiss. He'd faint if went to Tus Nadair."

"Huh? Why's that? If I may ask?"

"I suppose your country would have trouble keeping records of such things after the constant fighting it's gone through… While in Tus Nadair, if you find someone wearing anything that covers their chest, you can rest assured they aren't from there."

"Really?"

"Yes, even the women there don't bother covering their chest. In fact, it's considered rude to do so. It's understandable since they live in a culture where all women are motherly, and all men are fatherly towards the children."

Everyone started moving towards the docks.

"In what way? We usually do something like that too. Though it must be different from what you're saying."

"Oh, any child, if they get hungry, can go up to any woman and they'll be breast fed on the spot. And if they go up to any man, they'll find a woman, or if for some insane reason they can't, they'll bring the child safely to a food distribution point."

"What's that?"

"It's a place much like what we're about to set up. Anyone can get a meal there, whenever they need a little more than the normal amount given. In Tus Nadair, food isn't a commodity to be bought and sold. It is a right afforded to everyone. No one ever goes homeless, hungry, or forgotten. It's… Paradise. One our mother took 400 years to build, and now, it's a dream land so close, yet far away. In fact before this holy war began, people could still gain entry once every 50 years."

"It sounds like what I'd imagine paradise being. I'd much like to see it one day."

"With how much they have children… Your next life is likely to be a Nadairian."
