Avon took out the medallion Reveria gave him and asked Astrine for a part that fits in it. She took a good look at it and then used the ring in her hand to pull out a metal disc the size of the medallion. It fit in it perfectly. Avon smiled like a child,
"Finally, I got the first piece, thank you so much commander Astrine. Thank you so much"
Looking at his smile Aveline felt warm. Noticing her sister's closeness with this boy Astrine smiled too.
Then Astrine spoke again,
"You really did great in the raid, I heard from the elites that you helped them defeat the one eyes Holtron and diffused the energy sphere which was helping the pawns regenerate endlessly. You also helped many cadets. You have done really well"
She patted him on the back.
"Thank you commander " Avon said while smiling, he still lacked at taking compliments.
Then he remembered something and asked,
"What about the form changing metal...why were we not informed about it in advance?"
"We commanders were told about on the spacecrafts after departure....I believe that the heretic knight hoped that the protector would die while killing one of two commanders..awakening our forces"
"I see, why oppose the Holtrons who helped him though?"
"That is how heretics work boy"
"..okay"
Now that he had this, all that was left is learning a little about operating the craft and leaving for the next planet.
He looked at Aveline and asked,
"Do you know someone who can teach about the craft I came here in, I need to go to two more planets."
"I can teach you, I know all about crafts. But you will be leaving soon?"
"Yes, I must, I still need two more pieces"
Aveline was dejected and it showed. This was interesting for Astrine who never saw her sister like this.
"Okay, I will teach you tomorrow, it is already late."
"Okay"
"Cadet Avon could you get something to drink? Here take these units and get elecola for me"
Astrine said handing Avon some units.
"...sure" he slowly walked out searching for a cafe or a vending machine.
Aveline looked at Astrine and said,
"He is not a cadet outside the academy, just call him by his name"
With a smile Astrine replied,
"Sure, by the way Aveline, this is first time I have seen a man capture your heart...tell me what is so special about this kid."
Aveline was surprised at the question. She blushed hard.
"What are you talking about, he is just a good kid so I feel like protecting him. That is all"
"Is that so. Well he is so talented, he is bound to get a lover or two soon, I thought my sister would be the one but I guess not."
Aveline just stared at her sister and then Avon walked in.
Two elecolas and one orange juice
He gave one elecola to Astrine and kept one with himself and gave the orange juice to Aveline.
"Oh you brought my favourite, thanks "
Aveline said with a lovely smile.
"You like elecola too?" Astrine asked him
"Yes, I like it a lot, it is not too sweet and not too carbonated too. "
"Indeed, it quenches one's thirst well because the liquid is thin and not like those milkshakes"
Avon nodded,
"Yes, milkshakes are good but to quench thirst you need a think liquid like water, of course water is the best, but among beverages I would elecola is the best."
"True true"
Astrine nodded.
Then after a while they parted their ways.
Avon had lost track of the days, it seemed like almost 40 days were done..the medallion hadn't glowed yet so he had some time...but two pieces were still needed.
Then they headed back home. Inside Aveline's house, Avon laid on the bed and was lost in thoughts when Aveline came and laid beside him.
He looked at her, she was too close.
"What happened" he asked in a low voice.
"Nothing, just wanted to be with you. You will be leaving tomorrow afterall."
"Hmm"
The he closed his eyes.
Next morning, Avon opened his eyes and saw Aveline asleep beside him. Her hand over his chest and her body was in contact with his. Her loose shirt had slid down slightly revealing deep cleavage. He blushed a little looking at the sight.
Her face was very close to his and she looked very beautiful.
Taking a deep breath he slowly sat up. Because of the movement she woke and sat up too. Her loose shirt slid even further below, very close to falling off.
"Good morning Avon. Come here"
Saying so she pulled him into an embrace. Avon was finding this closeness a little strange but he never let his thoughts dwell much on it. He cared for Aveline now and he knew at this point they were more than just friends. Figuring other things could be done later.
He just hugged her back. Then she stretched her arms and the the cloth finally slid down revealing her assets to him. Right before, there she was, extremely beautiful with her well shaped, huge assets with pink cherries on top. He pulled his gaze away but this time Aveline was slow in reacting.
"What, you've seen it already..."
He could see her blushing a little.
She fixed her attire and got up from the bed,
"Let's get ready, oh by the way, Avon your beard has grown quite a bit, are you not going to shave it?"
He had completely forgotten about it. His beard hadn't been shaved for more than a month now.
"I had completely forgotten, I'll shave it today...but do you have anything for me to use to shave?"
"Yes...you can use the regular hair remover...oh did you planet have a separate tool for shaving?"
"Yeah, well tell me how to use it."
After a while Avon was out with a clean face and Aveline's eyes shined looking at him,
"So handsome, don't hide it behind your beard. You looked older with the beard. Hmmm..."
With her finger she traced his jawline and put her hand on his cheek. After she was satisfied she went to freshen up next.
Then they both went towards the craft.
"What a grand craft this is, also it has a VIP permit."
After inspecting it she began teaching Avon all about it. The controls were easy. Once she taught him everything it was time to part.
Giving him one last hug she kissed his forehead and said,
"Once you succeed, come back here to meet me. I wanted to come with you but I and my sister must deal with this knight as soon as possible. So take care . I will miss you"
"Yes, I will return soon, don't worry"
Saying so he got in and selected Xianzin as the next destination. It would five days to reach SteNav
