"Damn, guess that old bastard was telling the truth," an overly tall man muttered as he began to rise to his full height. As he surveyed his surroundings, a soft voice caught his ear.
"Moria-sama, are you alright?"
Looking down, the man saw a child with big black eyes and pink hair. It was then that he registered what she had said.
"What did you call me?" he asked, his eyes narrowing as the little girl repeated a name he was all too familiar with from an anime he used to watch. Finally realizing his condition—now all bloody and bruised—he sighed.
POV MC
It seemed he had reincarnated into Gecko Moria, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, and probably the weakest among them. "But I guess it's my job to change that," he thought, frustrated.
"That old bastard," he muttered to himself, "if he hadn't been playing around with the others, I could have been back on Earth enjoying the rest of my days. Dammit."
He looked down at the kid in front of him and slowly sat back down, contemplating his thoughts.
"Guess I have a daughter now. Never had kids before. Wonder how this is gonna go."
"Well, this is my new life, I guess. I'll enjoy myself."
